Bad boost gauge? Oh it's new.
 

I got a new boost gauge as the old one only reads to 25psi and it's looking a little shabby. So I open the box and it looks like this:

It must be a magical box that holds 3psi! Anyone else run into this?

I have seen other peoples gauges do that too. Some say it is bad, others say it doesnt matter. I guess the real test would be to hook up another known good gauge at the same time and see if they read the same.

Yea I have a SW gauge and it sits at about 2psi but it's accurate when hooked up to a computer. I dynoed my car and that told me what psi i was really running.

Hmm... well I contacted SW about it and showed them the picture and they said I should send it back so I guess that's what I'll do. Just interesting to see it be so far off being brand new. Maybe the FedEx man just had a bad day and took it out on the box.

Did you get it from Motorparts? If so, just take it back there and get a new one.

Thats where I got all my SW gauges.

BTW, hows the new turbo? Going to race at rockfalls this weekend?
