Cars acting wierd...dunno what it is?
 

alright so here's where my car lies. i have a 91 eclipse gsx. just rebuild the motor about 2 months ago. at first when you start the engine it goes to 2000 rpm and than starts to idle after about a min. than the check engine light goes on. today i relieved the fuel pressure system so i can take my fuel filter out. just being curious i decieded to replug everything in, after that the car just wouldn't start. it doesn't crank or anything. the starter clicks but nothing else, the battery is still alive as well. i dunno what it could be. i had this problem before but i put a new ecu in and it started but i don't know what it is this time. another quick question is that my headlights don't flip down for some reason, the lights were up when i bought it but it won't go down. any advice would be appreciated. thanks.

If you can get it started again let it run and disconnect the negative on the battery, if your car dies you need a new alternator, if it stays running your good. Try charging you battery and then try this.

i just bought a new alternator. it might just be the starter from what i've heard from other people.

The starters don't die very often on a DSM. Check the voltage. How did you bleed the fuel system? It is possible you hydrolocked the cylinders with fuel. Take out a spark plug and check if there is anything in the cylinder.

well, today i took the starter out and got it checked at auto zone, it passed the test so that eliminates that. i checked all the wires, and got new battery terminals, but nothing has changed. it still won't start. is it possible that a fuse might of blown? if so than which one? and another thing i discovered today is that when i try to turn the car on. all the lights start to flash on and off for about 3 min. and than i hear a clicking sound from somewhere around the bottom of the drivers side seat. any one know about this?

o yeah, i relieved the fuel system by the Hyanes repair manual way. i removed the filler cap and than i disconnected the fuel pump electric connector, started the car and it stalled.

the spark plugs smelled of gas but none visible
