hyundai g4cs main bolts = mitsu?
can i get the main bolts for the g4cs through mitsubishi? same as the 85 galant or something? anyone have a part #?
this is the last thing holding me up! |
Re: hyundai g4cs main bolts = mitsu?
The bolts are the same between the 4g64, 4g63, and g4cs. Or you can use ARP main studs #207-5401. The studs cost ~$60 but I'm not sure about the mitsubishi bolts. If you use the ARP studs, most suggest using the CRCO dowel kit.

Re: hyundai g4cs main bolts = mitsu?
Just use the Hyundai bolts that came with it or order new ones through them. They're cheaper anyways and they work fine.

Re: hyundai g4cs main bolts = mitsu?
its a bad idea to re-use the stock bolts, becase they stretch and get weak, when you order a complete headgasket kit (for instance, a oem one) you usually get new bolts, probably because they dont want you to reuse the old ones.
Correct me if I am wrong, but after the bolts stretch they get weak, and it goes to hell pretty quickly after that under boost. |
Re: hyundai g4cs main bolts = mitsu?
Huh? When do you get new headbolts with a gasket set? Not from Mitsu, or anybody else I've ever seen. Besides that, the poster was talking about main bolts, not head bolts. Stock main bolts, new or used are just fine.

Re: hyundai g4cs main bolts = mitsu?
Head bolts don't come with a new head gasket.

Re: hyundai g4cs main bolts = mitsu?
when i did the headgasket on the camry with the napa kit they were included.
I have never used stock parts in a 4g63 rebuild....so I guess I wouldnt know. But does my statement stand true for main bolts? Apologies for reading it incorrectly |
Re: hyundai g4cs main bolts = mitsu?
Not really
And I have never received any bolts of any sort with any gasket kit. Yours is an isolated case at best. |
Re: hyundai g4cs main bolts = mitsu?
24 bucks for all of them from Brookdale Mitsu. not bad! :)
