Yea, he ran a 7.97 @ 179 last year, at E-town, vs. a fast fwd civic. I have the incar and grandstand views of the run. The incar is cool, cause his lexan windshield bows in towards the end of the track, and then pops back out when he's slowing back down.

The 7.xx was on the spray, the 8.04 is all boost.

48 lbs. Looks like a 7 will occur once he get's the motor settled out, and other vehicles taken care of.

I guess the new head is working good for him. He said he was going to wait until he breaks his old time with just boost before he adds the nitrous.

He also has a lot of weight reduction done to the car. I believe it was about 22xxlbs or around there. Pretty nuts if you look at it and the normal person couldnt tell what he removed. I cant wait for the shootout!

Re: Shep runs 8.05@180 on the 29th

That is my goal. But, I'll never get there. I wanna have a single digit pass sometime though. That's what I'm after. it will take a LONG ass time to get there, but I hope someday, that will occur. I hope shep get's his motor and other situations sorted out for the shootout. Same to rau.

i love the details. i like the removable braces on the manifold collector. looks like he's logging pressure in the exh manifold too, or am i wrong? what cam gears are those?

Pushit2.0 08-02-2006 12:06 PM

Re: Shep runs 8.05@180 on the 29th

I think they are Unorthodox cam gears? Exhaust manifold pressure is important also, I think you ajust your cam timing to reduce exhaust manifold pressure.
