oil filter relocation
I am relocating my oil filter for easier access (downpipe doesn't allow me to take the filter off) but i want to know if it's safe to place the filter up in the driver's fender, like in the area infront of the washer fluid neck, were the ps fluid container used to go? I just wanna make sure it's not only able to work at a level even with the current location, since the oil system is somewhat pressurized. I want to make sure oil will flow to and from the filter if it's in a higher location. Thanks.

Re: oil filter relocation
I was going to get the forward facing filter like shep runs (i've got the link somewhere) but, it then get's rid of my oil cooler, and returns it to the older cooler, which shane (ecoli) knows from years back, can blow apart, and send your white car into a ditch on your way to the MG KK meet..

Re: oil filter relocation
I just need to know if it's ok to mount the filter up higher then it's current location. That's all. I wanna make damn sure it's ok for this car, because some cars' oil system isn't as pressurized, and their filters need to be mounted level, or an in-line oil pump is used.

Re: oil filter relocation
Is there a front facing one with the external oil cooler spots?

Re: oil filter relocation
nope, not from the factory anyway. there are a bunch of guys in florida that run those housings and their oil temps never get dangerous. honestly unless you are roadracing the thing, who needs an oil cooler?
