Well my wife was watching HSN today. Home Shopping Network for those wondering. So she calls me into the room like my house is on fire and points to the television. To no avail, she got that look in her eye. Allan knows the look I'm talking about. So I gave in and said "get it".

Then I decide to do some 'net searching to find out how big a piece of crap I just bought. Well I stumble across a few sites dedicated to Roomba's. One of which deals with how to hack, modify and hot-rod your Roomba. :eek: What's this world coming to when geeks start modding their vacuum cleaners? Very sad. Very sad indeed.

There is also a robotic lawn mower that acts pretty much the same way. Set the boundaries of your yard and it'll mow your yard for you.

Well, after reading up on this more I decided to take my dad's roomba and mod da piss out of it. It's now twin-charged with a 400 shot of NAWWWWWWWWWWS on it and it runs -4s or so on street tires.

ive had one for about a year? it is the best invention, ever.

my sister has one for each big room in her house, and she will swear they are the greatest thing ever made.

and she even has the older model. The newer one discovers the rooms even faster and detects which spots have more dirt and adjust it's cleaning pattern.
