So I'm going to be moving to "The Melrose" in MPLS Dinky town area in March

And they have a 40 person theatre with hookups and network capability for PS2, XBox, and a few laptops. I plan on holding the tourney there because I can rent it for free as a resident, and use up to 3 PS2's other than my own, and hook them up. There are also somethhing like 5 stand alone monitors and one large projection screen in the middle... It's Pimp

I plan on sometime in April....

That'd be pretty cool--you might count me in.

But why not wait until July and have a GT4 tournament? You're more likely to get more people to show up, since the game will be brand new.

Just my $0.02.

If your playing Halo. I might be insterested in a tournament.

I'm thinking GT3. GT4 will be new and some people may not have as much time to play. If you don't have good cars in GT3 by now you ether: 1. Just got it cause you had some other game counsel or 2. You suck too much to be in a tournament.

I don't have a LOT of cars in GT3, but I have some decent ones and some favorites... But I hardly suck at it.

Does this game work with a link cable so you get your whole screen?

JiN 01-16-2004 04:32 PM

I'm with Barton on a Halo whoopass fest.

Then setup your own dam tournament and quit waiting space in the GT3 tournament thread. This thread is NOT about which game. It’s about when and were. Sorry to be all the "get the fuck out" like but seriously, this ia titled GT3 not "What game do you play?"

Matt: how long ago did you get it?

The week it hit the shelves, but that doesn't mean I played it 24/7 or have anywhere near 100% complete either...

CVD 01-17-2004 12:24 PM

I agree, I'm all for a GT3 only tourny.

Some of us dont have Halo either. Nor care to.

Yes, to everyone who mentioned Halo....please start your own thread if you want a tourney about it.

This thread is specifically about GT3. It does not ask you which game you'd like to play...

SuperSleeper 01-17-2004 01:21 PM

I have a PS2 and the game--count me in when it goes down. I better start thinking of what car to use..

CVD 01-17-2004 03:08 PM

Yeah, we should deffinately make and agree on some rules and get some deffinate class guidelines. Classes should go by HP, racing and non racing cars, maybe a stock class, and one or two classes based on drivetrain.

Im a big fan of rally-style, single hot lap time trials. You can race against your opponents ghost. It would be a fun way to do at least some of the races, since I'm not a fan of 1 on 1 split screen racing. If we could use a link cable and 2 TV's that would be better, but I dont think the game supports that.

GT3 does support the iLink cable, which would enable the use of two TVs and head to head racing.

You guys all PM me rules and other features you want to see, and I'll try to find a happy medium for everyone
