oil pan gasket.......?

so i went to the mitsu dealer looking for a oil pan gasket because mine is leaking, and he told me that its accauly just a silicon but they were WAY over priced so i went to a few auto stores and all of them said its just a normal gasket on there. so what should i do?...

Black RTV silicon is what we use.
