Does anyone have any opinions about the AGP L2 turbo? I e-mailed a guy that has one that needs a rebuild and it sounds like he may be willing to sell it incredibly cheap. From what I can find around the net it looks to be a rather large turbo. I'm guessing that this turbo would be way too large for me to consider since I'll just be entering the world of DSM ownership next summer but I would like to hear some opinions? What kind of supporting mods is one looking at in order to run this turbo? .............gotta love curiosity :bounce:
Thanks all!!!

I don't know if the is correct or not but I seem to remeber a thread saying it flows 44lbs/min. About 20G sized.

yes it is rather large. i don't remember the specifics. if you write AGP they could prolly tell you more since they were the ones who sold those turbos.

I would say 660's and FMIC for sure.

The L2 is pretty good sized. It was somewhere between a 50 and 60 trim wheel. I don't remember exactly. The PTE's are better/cheaper, that is why they sell the PTE's now.

I just e-mailed AGP about a rebuild quote along with a request from some detailed specifications about the L2. Hopefully they'll respond tomorrow....

I believe it is just a regular 50 trim. AGP's old shit that was made for a similar turbo to FP's green.

According to a post on DSMtuners from agp the L2 flows 49lb/min

Well I received an immediate e-mail back from AGP this morning. They said the L2 is "basically" the same thing as the RS49 which has the following specs: "The next step and the most popular street/strip T3/T4 hybrid combination. Our vehicles have been able to reach 20psi of boost at 3700-3800rpm.

-49 lb/min compressor
-50 trim T04E compressor
-76 trim T31 turbine wheel
-T04E (3" inlet, 2" outlet) compressor housing
-Setup for manifold mounted or O2 mounted external wastegate
(internal wastegate optional)"

The one I am considering purchasing is ported and internally gated. I have three pictures of it but it won't let me attach them :headache:

As of right now, $320 shipped and he is not being flexible, which is not what he has implied all along. He said he needs to be rid of it by the 20th so unless he drops the price, forget it; one would be better off purchasing brand the turbo new from AGP.

skip it. I have a 16g for sale for $100 and $400 to have FP rebuild it to handle approx 400hp.

john 01-16-2004 10:12 AM

I thought you planned on keeping the 16g? That is why I let you buy it.
