My $175 screw up
I've been working on getting our team trailer decaled for a club I'm in here at school (1/4 scale tractor pulling team). Everything was going great until the installers called me up today and said they had a problem. I'm thinking WTF, what kind of problem can there be with putting decals on a damn trailer? It turns out when I gave the graphic artist the dimensions of our trailer, I sketched the side access door on the driver's side of the trailer instead of the passenger side. So the decal dimensions now all fucked up and since they were directional decals, they were now junk; so since it was my fuckup, I'm covered the $175 cost to have the correct decals printed.
On top of all this, our server at work decided to fuck off last night and lose a bunch of data I had collected yesterday so I spent my afternoon redoing a bunch of analysis I had already completed yesterday. Then at 4:30PM today it took a shit again so at least I got to leave work early. ....It's been a long day |
Re: My $175 screw up
Sorry to hear that Jakey. Out of curiosity, what are you using for a motor in a 1/4 scale tractor? And what do you use for a chassis? Is everything custom built or?

Re: My $175 screw up
16 horsepower 100% stock Briggs & Stratton Vangaard Engine
Frame rails are laser cut to our design Generally everything is custom built I will post some pictures next week when things come together more with the tractor; our competition starts June 1 in Peoria, IL. Some more information about the competition: http://www.asabe.org/students/tractor/asaecomp.html |
Re: My $175 screw up
so, the decals are mirrored basically??
Just get like a drifter and put mirrored decals on one side of the trailer, and regular ones on the opposite side. Your tractor pull team will have JDM hotness... |
Re: My $175 screw up
I'll snap some pictures, they'll explain it better.
I should also mention that our team letterhead is copyright Blue89Quest. |
