A not so funny story.
 

As you all I know I just recently bought my first AWD turbo DSM. The past week or two with it has been amazing. I love this car! Well today, she got pissy with me, and had her first little DSM-curse fit.

I was driving home and I was going to take a shower then go switch the title on the fucker actually, and I pull around the corner and stop and I hear the sub move and then a little crack but I didnt think much of it because I didn't see anything. So I get out, shut my door, and SMASH!!!!!!!! It just shattered everywhere.

But thats not where the fun stops.

So pretty much theres glass all over all of my subs and in the amp and the back window is just broken to the point where I can stand in my trunk with the hatch shut. I walk inside and call Stephan and all of the sudden the lady I live with comes down stairs goes "Tauni, I hate to tell you this, but its now raining. And not 5 min before that the sun was shining! So I pull the car into the garage, run inside to change, come back out, start cleanign it out, AND IT STOPS RAINING!

Now we are going to pic up a NOT matching purple hatch up. Should be back up tonight then we just gotta figure out what to do with the sub.

Yeah this weather is really starting to piss me off. Are the amps and whatnot still ok since they were rained on? Sorry to hear about window though :( Maybe you can switch the glass from the other hatch onto this one???

Ehh, wouldnt it be better to pay someone to swap the hatch glass rather than putting a different color hatch on your car?

thats what i did, red car maroon hatch, but sprayed it black.

Yea, don't worry about the color. Rattle can would fit that car quite nicely ;)

PS: You already have holes in your car. More of them isn't going to hurt anything!

Well i got a hatch for free. It was white but all thats white on the hatch is one little strip. Oh well, the car is ugly enough as it is. The amp is fine, the sub is a little off though. No big deal, it still works, and its only a temporary sub. I'll be picking up two 10's sooner or later. But she's all better.

holy crap, she musta been pulling like 2 g's of lateral force to be able to do that!!! i've whipped tons of turns hard and my sub has never "rolled" into anything hard enough to break it.

If you've ever seen her drive, this wouldn't suprise you. I can't imagine her with a manual, boost, or AWD.

I think you guys are mis understanding me. The sub didn't shatter the window right away, all it did was crack it. It wasn't until I got out n shut the door that it shattered.
