Thinking about selling the GSX
Im seeing what a good asking price would be...
here r some facts about the car No rust, perfect shape, new rebuilt tranny from shep, and returning everything back to stock exept rims, tires, brakes, and tranny. Car has 76,000 miles and about 1500 on the new tranny. It has a Southbend DXD clutch also replaced the same time as the tranny, the car has never seen a winter that Im aware of. Kinda checked around on autotrader and there really isnt one for sale in 100 to 200 miles in the same shape as mine |

Re: Thinking about selling the GSX
There is one in Rochester right now (98 GSX bone stock, mint shape, 89k miles, Maroon in color) that's listed or $10,500. That's about as high as they will get on the right buyer. Realisticly they would probably sell it for closer to $9500. IN your case the Clutch and Tranny will only better your cause to someone who wants to mod the car, otherwise it's going to drop the value a bit.

Re: Thinking about selling the GSX
Well there is that guy on here that just bought a 98 gsx from my buddy. I think he paid 9600? Something like that, That was with full exhaust, big 16g, remote start/alarm etc. I think there was something like just under 80K on the clock.

Re: Thinking about selling the GSX
My friend bought a 98 gsx a year and a half ago for $8500 with 80K on the clock.

Re: Thinking about selling the GSX
yeah, but stock cars are more valuable then moded cars and especially since the car has a rebuilt tranny and a new clutch. I read a formula somewhere to help determine the value of a moded car, its like take the MSRP cost of the mod/s and divide it by 1/2, then subtract that from the stock value of the car, then it said to exclude parts that have no effect on the performance besides body work, then if the cost of the mod/s is more expensive then 1/2 the cost of the car, it cautions you to not buy the car. Of corse this formula was made for non-tuners who want stock cars. I'll try to find that website and show ya'll
