That's right, we can't seem to find a local source for a 16.5mm drill bit or
.6496" in inches. Anyone got any ideas. We have looked / called all your normal shops it seems. |
i will see when i get home.. i have a lot of them i just need to find them.... what type of metal are you needing to drill?

Stainless.

ok, i will see if i have some nicer drill bits in the storage...

That would be great! It's the last piece of a really nice puzzle!
if they would spill some more info out we might know if a size smaller or size bigger would be better off..

Has to be 100% dead on. o2 bung. Mike says, it's gotta be perfect.

The main thing is after paying a large price for the tap we'd like it to last a long time as well.
Use the larger size if it is just for a tapped thru hole. It makes the tap go in easier too. 6 thou diameter won't make any difference, especially on threads that big. That is only 3 thou depth.
and it will still make a good seal.. especially if you use teflon paste..
Snap-On man can't hook ya up?
Yep, .006" is fine considering it is larger. Allan was just quoting me when I said exact. I always shoot for perfect, but if I can't what I need in a reasonable time, I can handle going with something that close since it is towards the plus side.
