Ebay is the main problem. They advertise the turbo as a well known brand and add a tag to it since they can't just steal the name. This isn't the well known turbo in the real GT series. Notice how it's called "GT45 Y2004K "

On another note, a turbo that size on a 4 popper would be very difficult to ever actually see the boost. One of the Hort boys had a GT45R sitting at QPR for a long time. They had planned to use a lot of nitrous to make it spool. They got rid of it for a reason I'd think.

Are you actually interested in buying something that big? Or are you just curious because it's for sale for like 400 dollars.

If you look, its not even the same turbo in all the pictures. I noticed in one picture the compressor wheel had 6 fins, on another there were more like 10. Just an eBay knock off man, a poor quality POS.

6 pairs of compressor blades, 10 turbine blades.

The biggest indicator of what you are getting is the price.

It's got 3 1/2 days left. The price will at least double by then. Everything looks legit, except for the compressor housing. It has the tag, however the outlet (discharge) doesn't look right. It looks like an imitated compressor housing to me, since there's so much material in the walls. I could be wrong though. Keep in mind, someone has produced a knockoff HKS 50mm wastegate, and you can't tell the difference. I wouldn't be interested in this turbo. Go with a well-respected distributor.

It looks a bit like this, but look at the seller:

shipping to the us is 1 cent and it is $110 to ship it international.

I had a GT45 turbo a while back I was going to use on my old project car. I never really got that going and parted it out though. The one I had was a good brand name. That one doesn't even say a brand name.

The price is $399 buy it now, so the price won't go up at all on it. The one I had was going for a little over a grand. I got it for about half of what they were going for though.

I like that part.
