Oil Pressure Gauge
I just fixed the stock OPG on my 1993 awd turbo, and I was just wondering if it was normal for the oil pressure to be at about 25% while at idle and it rises to 40-60% reading while driving.
I know it changes while the engine revs, I just want to make sure its getting enough oil and that it isn't running too low while at idle. Because I remember driving my moms 1994 n/t laser and its oil pressure always seemed to be higher at idle but didn't move much under engine reving. |
Re: Oil Pressure Gauge
That thing is a POS, get a real oil pressure gauge if you want an accurate reading.

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge
Yea they arn't acurate :(
I just hate having gauges on my pillar, wish I could keep it down to a single boost guage but I know that isn't possible really. I currently have EGT and boost on there right now and was planning on adding an OPG when I ordered my new gauges from http://www.prosportgauges.com/Perfor...uges-Amber.htm |
Re: Oil Pressure Gauge
You cant tell anything from where the needle points. If it drops and your oil pressure light flickers, then you are in trouble. Til then, theres nothing you can do without a real oil pressure gauge.
