260 hp!!!!1 not too bad. As if the srt-4 wasnt enough competition for dsms! I guess people are catching onto 4cylinders+turbo=fun |
Re: a fast(er) sky
yea, after driving the current sky, i was pleased to find out that we will have our redline version sometime this coming fall.

Re: a fast(er) sky
I still think they could have done better. They need to cut some weight and improve the lack of handling and poor overall feel that I've been hearing about. Until then it goes on the shelf with the Z3 and Crossfire - midlife crisis cars that you wont find in the hands of car enthusiasts.

Re: a fast(er) sky
hmmm...they should just make an exact clone of the New Miatas and name it differently

Re: a fast(er) sky
There's actually going to be a dealer-available option to order special built-up models through some national tuner. I forget the name, but it consists of them retrofiting big fatty brembo brakes under the rims (or bigger ones) and shoehorning corvette motors under the hood.

Re: a fast(er) sky
Either way, any increase in hp/tq numbers is an improvement than what we have now.

Re: a fast(er) sky
Who cares about the Redline. Tuners will be making 500whp with those things before the Redlines come out. I'm predicting that'll be the next big tuner car. I'm really tempted to get my hands on one.
And I wouldn't expect it to compare in quality to a Z3 or Crossfire, since it's $15K cheaper. You get what you pay for, a direct Miata competitor. |
