Illegal immigrant debate
This has been all over CNN, NBC, ABC, ect ect the last few days. Very large protests in LA and DC reagurding this as well. From what I have read it's come up in DC to make it illegal to aid illegal immigrants in any way, and they want to even put up more borders and security for this.
What do people here think? I think we shouldn't worry about making any new laws until we have someone in the big old white house who puts some action on current laws. CNN.com has a article up right now about how illegal immigrants are less likly to have completed anything equivilent to a high school education, but are more likly to hold a job here in the US over our own citizens. I just don't get why so many people are protesting over giving illegal immigrants more rights so to speak.... |
Re: Illegal immigrant debate
I have no problem with deporting them, especially the ones convicted of a crime. A lot of illegals do work very hard for money, but when it comes down to it, overall, I feel they are dragging society down by tying up courts, filling the prisons, takings millions of tax-payer dollars, etc.

Re: Illegal immigrant debate
The immigrants should come here legally. Then they can pay taxes like the rest of us. They don't usually pay taxes (no social security #), but they make under minimum wages in many cases. They are also willing to do the work most citizens won't do.
They have their place, we just need to legalize it. I just heard an estimate that there are 20 million illegals in the US. 20 MILLION!! That is frickin' huge. Even if it is half that, that is more than the population of Minnesota! |
Re: Illegal immigrant debate
Yeah, its fucking annoying to see shit all over the news about illegal immagration for over a year now, and still having very little getting done on the borders.
And yes, it might be true that they are more likely to hold a job, but they are still soaking up tax dollars like a sponge as I am sure they dont pay taxes at the jobs that they do have. Right now with all the shit they get for free they have ZERO incentive not to cross the border illegally. There is a legal way to come into this country and an illegal way. If its illegal then fucking do something about it. |
Re: Illegal immigrant debate
Oh fuck don't even get me going on this subject. America is turning into a fucking toilet I swear. People come here and waive their prior countries flags, fucking protest, and basically just suck of American for all its worth.
Anytime you can see a minority group protesting on American soil you know things are going to shit. If I had any say it in I would have blocked off every exit during that protest and ran everyone of those fuckers through the system. Then waive goodbye when half of them were on the way back to Mexico. I say if you want to come to the US you should have to know how to speak fucking english, write english, and not be able to waive your previous countries flag around. If your so fucking proud of where you came from then go back there then. If Mexicans want to be taken seriously they need to learn english, integrate, dress normally and get out of the ghetto. As long as they are hanging out at the flea market and looking like idiots they're going to be treated like pieces of shit. There comes a time when instead of complaing, you figure out why you can't get ahead and then fix that. Being brown isn't the reason they suck. Dressing like a Mexican cowboy, speaking no English and hanging out at the flea market seven days a week is why they suck. __________________ |
Re: Illegal immigrant debate
Yeah they are hard workers, I agree and do have a place in society. But protesting and this bullshit is just crazy. Here is how stupid they are, yeah lets protest and bring more attention to ourselves when there is already millions of us here illegally. I could go on and on. I am sure some of you whiny fucking liberals will get pissed at what I am saying but its my opinion.

It amazes me the number is so large. I was astonished. WTF is going on? How in the hell do these people make it here, illegally. I'd say more, but most of it was said above. |
Re: Illegal immigrant debate
I agree fully with Craig, I don't see the point in protesting about how bad the US is and how great your home country is. Rather than draining our society, which we like, go back to yours and have fun living in that mud hut drinking shit-water. Just last week I saw a documentary show on some Puerto Rican "Kings" gang in NY holding all sorts of protests and rallies basically spitting on this country. Simple solution: head south, you won't even need a passport! Oh well, I was glad to see the "Bloods" starting to align against them, maybe we'll all get lucky and in a huge gangwar they'll all kill themselves. Hell, I say give them all a loaded AK, put them all in a stadium, and lock the doors for a week.

Re: Illegal immigrant debate
Chris, you reached on one thing I would love. To see one state, like Montana, fenced off and have all the criminals, rapists, illegal immigrants, ect ect tossed in. Put that shit on it's own dedicated live 24 hour cable show and boom! Lets make some money!

Re: Illegal immigrant debate
I agree with this 100%. I know it sounds callous, but illegal immigrants come into the country and take jobs, and some just come and live off our tax dollars. I'm not saying don't let in immigrants, i'm just saying if they are here illegaly, they should not recieve any aid. There are plenty of ways to become a citizen of this country legally, and i know because my entire family on my dads side are immigrants.

Re: Illegal immigrant debate
Painful subject, but there is no avoiding it- people come to the US for many reasons: poverty, oppression, opportunity to prosper, freedom etc...
But this country is not set-up to support a huge temporary population (we can't even take care of our own). If people want to be here that's fine, but they must become citizens within a set time, and work, or kick them out . That's a deal considering what my (legal) immigrant family had to deal with in '20s. |
Re: Illegal immigrant debate
Wasn't there some bull shit law trying to be passed in california to make illegal aliens be able to get drivers licenses? My dad was telling me about it awhile back. What a load of shit.

Re: Illegal immigrant debate
I see three options in this particular situation.
1) Change nothing. Continue to waste billions of dollars each year to provide education, housing and hospitalization for millions of illegal immigrants from Mexico. I see this firsthand. It happens on a scale so large it would make you puke. 2) Punish illegal immigrants. Hunt them down, send them to trial and convict immigrants just as if they were killers. Treat them as felons and punish them accordingly. Again, billions of dollars wasted, and any illegal immigrant would still spend the rest of his life in one of our plush prisons where he'll surely have good meals, tv and recess versus a poverty stricken life of dirt floors, beans and a stinky dog to share it with. It's a win/win situation for an immigrant. He's still going to take that chance. 3) Utilize illegal immigrants as a workforce. Who the fuck are we kidding? These guys aren't going anywhere and they are willing to do the work nobody else wants. There is no way I'm diggin' a ditch 12-14 hours a day for $6 an hour with zero benifits. These people are HAPPY to work for next to nothing because they currently have NOTHING. If you're worried about a dumbass, no education wetback stealing your job then maybe you need to take a look at yourself do something about it. As a whole the US is full of weakass, whiny pussies. Stand up and do something about it or STFU. With some effort, programs can be established to utilize the illegal leaches currently in this country. We outsource billions/trillions of dollars of work each year overseas. At one point or another we, or our ancestors were wetbacks. Who cares where our workforce was born? We could stand to MAKE money fixing the problem instead of throwing it away just trying to bandaid it. The fence idea sounds great. How do you plan on rounding up the millions of wetbacks that are already here and getting them back over the fence? |

Re: Illegal immigrant debate
My .02. Deport the illegal fuckers! If they can't come into this country and go through the process of becoming naturalized and legal then get rid of them. Because we have a good sized foot plant around, my town is full of illegal mexicans. A bunch of them are trouble. Many drive without licenses. When they do get in trouble, our tax payer dollars gotta pay for an interpreter. Every week in our town newspaper is at least 5 of them that got in trouble for something. Legalizing them is just a way to not deal with the problem. As the 2nd sentence said, Deport the illegal fuckers!

Re: Illegal immigrant debate
Deportation costs too much money, maybe we can find a bullet-I mean better solution. :D
I don't usually follow this sort of thing but for some reason this seemed to hit a nerve. I think I read that they wanted to make it a felony to be in the US illegally. Well shit, it isn't already? Good lord, what the hell. No wonder they come over here and don't worry about the consequences. Either try the legal way or get shot trying the illegal way. Maybe when we are done in Iraq we can use our military to enforce some long-neglected things right here at home. |
Re: Illegal immigrant debate
This made me think of something. Let's say you came home from work one day, and somone snuck into your house. What would you do if...
A. They were sitting on your couch watching your tv and eating your potato chips? B. They just needed a place to stay and they were willing to go out, get a job, and pay rent, and pay for thier share of food and utilities, and make everything legit? Or C. They just needed a place to stay and in exchange, they were willing to clean your bathroom, wash your dishes, and do your laundry? This is hypothetical, but it's something to think about. Here's what I would do. A: I would tell them to get the f#k out. B: I would tell them to get the f#k out. C: I would tell them to get the f#k out. I don't care who you are, or what you're willing to do, YOU snuck into MY house, and you want ME to deal with YOUR problem. The foundation of any good relationship is trust, and it's hard to trust anyone that snuck into your house. |
Re: Illegal immigrant debate
We need independant contractors...there already is that one group that watches the boarder...basically to shoot anyone of any color crossing the boader at anything but an official checkpoint. It could be a new sport, I'd go for the "hunt".
