I had a bad experience with an HKS one on my 2G. Could have been my fault, but I couldn't get it adjusted properly and I tried a lot of different things inlcuding swapping throw out bearings and shimming the clutch pivot ball. When I would adjust it where I wanted it it caused pedal "pump up" and when I got rid of the pump up it had engagement issues.

I like the idea of a multiplate clutch in theory though. Less pressure on the thrust bearing, less pedal pressure.

I'd probably try another one just not on my 2G with its wacky master cylinder.

They are a bit touchy at first but once you drive them a bit they break in and the engagment is a lot better. When JETs was brand new it was a bitch to drive at first and made a lot of noise but after I took it to the dyno and drove it around a bit it got a lot better. It didn't help that his head was ported to fuck and had the Crower 415 cams so when it wasn't under boost it was pretty doggy even for a 2.4, compile that with a welded VC and it was a handful at first.

Definetly takes some getting used to though, its like an on/off switch. There really isn't a whole lot of feathering when you take off, atleast with the DevoTuning one.

I liked Shanes twin, drove pretty well. Shane and I had no problems driving it, but Cher couldn't figure it out.

Yeah, my clutch was a whore at first, but now it is pretty streetable. It wouldn't be a problem at all except the welded diff. and the clutch don't get along.

hrm interesting, would you downgrade it to "slut" status at this point then?

I would say more like a whiny hot bitch. Decent to drive and something you need, but the fact you have to listen to it sucks.
