I said no, but it really depends on what it is, and where it is. Is it my home? Yeah, I'd pick up some things because I keep my floors pretty clean. lol

Depends how clean the floor is and how much residue is on the food after it contacts the floor haha.

My office's carpet was just vacuumed yesterday so I'll still eat the food.

I keep my carpet pretty clean so yea I'll pick food off it and eat it!

As long as it doesnt land in some liquid i'll still eat it. You can wash/blow off grit and crap. My food is too valuable to be tossed

If I can't catch the food before it hits the ground, then my reaction time is too slow, and I don't deserve to eat. That, plus it's freakin' disgusting.

I have an idea for the next poll: If you accidentally drop your toothbrush in the toilet... :D

There was a Mythbusters about this and they found that it still attracts shit even if its just for 5 seconds. But id still eat it.

Do you know how much garbage we breath in everyday?? Alittle dust or dirt on a piece of food never killed anybody lol

It's not so much the dirt and that kind of stuff that bothers me. It's the fact that people walk around all day, in thier shoes, or in thier sweaty ass dirty socks. And when they walk outside, they walk on the streets and sidewalks where drunk people have puked, bums have pissed, and dogs have crapped (or any combination of the three.) Everywhere that shoe, sock, paw, and whatever else has been, is being tracked onto the floors we walk on everyday. And that is why, once it hit's the ground, it's dog food (unless it's chocolate, or a stick of butter).

The carpet in my apartment is disgusting, there is no way I would eat anyting off my floor. I guess that is what you get when you live with 5 dudes who rarely clean though.


If it were at my moms I definitely would, same as if it were in my room at my apartment.

There is no way I'd eat anything off of the floor of my office. Keep in mind I work in the construction industry, so you can imagine how black my floor is with mud, crude and all kinds of disgusting things.

Now at home is a different story. We leave our shoes at the front door and it's just me, a clean freak woman, two little girls and a little boy. The floor is always very clean so if I drop a cookie or something, I don't mind picking it up and eating it. I have a year and a half old son and he picks up all kinds of stuff and eats it too. More than once I've been sitting on the couch watching tv and he'll just cruise by with a cookie or some sort of candy. I'll think to myself, "Where in the hell did he find that shit? ? ?" Where else, the trash can. Kids rock.

Where I'm sitting right now, I wouldnt. There's like 5 other people who use this computer each day, so its kinda gross. I just got home and took off my shoes. My feet are a lil sweaty =).
