my AIM hacked me.
Well, i use aol instant messenger often, but all of a sudden it has started playing god damned videos with sound above the list of names. i can only seem to turn off the sound in the flash screen, but there are no options for me to not have it there. I have done a fairly thorough search through the options fields and come to this.
So, anyone have the answer? delete macromedia? or use a non-stupid instant message program? |

It only starts playing the vid/sound when you scroll over that area with your mouse, its tricky like that and its aol's advertising section for being a free program... Thats normal.

You cant turn it off or do anything with it in AIM. DeadAIM is exactly like AIM without all the advertisements and shit and the stock ticker.

I think you'll have to find a hack somewhere to unlock it. Seach Google for it or check www.board4all.cz or other hacker sites. Very legit, all my friends use it. It's more like an "enhancement" for AIM rather than a replacement program, it still uses to background stuff from AIM to run. |

Trillian can handle most of the IM services out there all in one program with multiple multiple accounts going at once.

I have AIM triton the new fucking one. BY FAR THE WORST. I miss the old one, this one constantly freezes, If i lose connection to the internet (which i do every time i close my laptop lid) ill bring the internet back up and aim wont be able to sign back on. Fucking retarded. I hate anything made by AOL. All of the people at my company use Skype so ive been doing that. its pretty cool, its a messenger software but it is more based around voice communication. So you can make calls to germany for free. or you can IM. you can even have a group IM, so basically just keep adding users to the conversation. Really good thing for a corperate enviornment.

1. Go to www.oldversion.com 2. Download AIM version 5.3.xxxxxxx 3. Install it. 4. Go to www.oldversion.com 5. download DeadAIM version 3.2.4 6. Install that. 7. Thank me |
