Im having a couple of problems...
Before i say what problem im having here are the Specs:
1990 Eagle Talon TSi Work Done: MOTOR... Block was Cryo Treated Custom made tubular exhaust man. Balance shafts removed Apexi avcr Apexi safc Tial BOV RC enginering 660cc injectors JE piston set .020 over Eagle rod set .272 webcam cams Aem fuel rail Aem adjustable cam gears Arp head studs Magnus intake manifold Scm61 turbo Walboro 255lh fuel pump Stage 3 front CV axels Lower ball joints Reman crank Bore, hone, and clean block Infinity front and rear speakers Sony color deck Act 6 puck race clutch Act 2900.. pressure plate Xact streetlight flywheel Clutch slave cylander Koyo radiator Turbonetics intercooler kit Rebuilt head Compustar alarm/remote start 2 way Tenzo R black seats Taylor plug wires 8.5mm Pit 40mm wastegate Tsudo 3" downpipe w/ 3" piping all the way back to the greddy exhaust and then the head... The check engine light is not on and i noticed that on my SAFC the injector % is at like 68% when it does idle right( which is never) ive tried multiple things but i wanted to see what other people on here had to say. Any advice or suggestions would be a big help Thanks -Stephan |
Re: Im having a couple of problems...
All that motor work and all you have is an SAFC?

I'm too tired to start on this tonight. I do like the mod list though. |
Re: Im having a couple of problems...
I would guess your timing is not set right, you are probably a tooth or two off. Check that first thing. And then pray you didn't fuck anything else up.

And yea i know the list is kinda goofy. but it was something i had already written up so i used it. It would suck to have to write that everytime i had a question or anything like that so... But yea any help would be great :D And i will check the timing tomorrow. Thanks -Stephan |
Re: Im having a couple of problems...
Oh and also on the SAFC the RPM reads like 1118 and the actual tach reads the 3250 or whatever...
Any ideas? -Stephan |
Re: Im having a couple of problems...
Your s-afc isn't setup correctly then.
Go into the settings and make sure the correct number of cylinders is "chosen". (options are 2-4-6, if I recall). |

If all you're using to tune is the SAFC, I would think that it only reading half the RPMs would have a little something to do with that hesitation. |

I will keep toying with it and see if i cant figure anything out -Stephan |
Re: Im having a couple of problems...
I belive its 4 - 6 - 8cyl, I belive that its supposed to me set on karman aswell.
|
Re: Im having a couple of problems...
yea i have it set on karman and im going to see what happens if i try it on 2 cyl.
Thanks Stephan |

Cycles? or Cylanders?
Im not rally sure if i have an eprom. I really never looked or knew what to look for. -Stephan |
Re: Im having a couple of problems...
I have it set to 2 cyl, the RPMs now match and it idles a little better but it's still no good.
I dont know why it wont boost, but i will see if my timing is off. I dont think it is but im gonna check just to make sure. I dont hear any knock, tick.... nothing. -Stephan |
Re: Im having a couple of problems...
Just line up your crank pulley with the mark and see where your cam gears are at. If its good then we can check in a different direction. You might be surprised at what you see.

Re: Im having a couple of problems...
Alright i was reading in a diffrent thread that you need 3 engine grounds... I only have one. I dont think it matters where they go but im not sure. I still haven't rechecked my timing but im going to tonight.
I guess my question is: Do i need 3 engine grounds? If it matters where they are where do they go? -Stephan |
