Mapping Software

Does anyone recommend any free software which will allow me to highlight multiple locations at one time? I can't find anything on Mapquest, Yahoo Maps, or Google Earth which will allow anything like this. MapPoint allows it via use of the "push pin" feature, but I don't have access to the software anymore. Basically I need one map showing the US and Canada, with these locations noted, pinned, something:

Iowa State University, Ames, IA
Ag Leader Technology, Ames, IA
Raven Industries, Sioux Falls, SD
John Deere AMS, Urbandale, IA
AutoFarm, Menlo Park, CA
Outback Guidance, Hiawatha, KS
SATLOC, Scottsdale, AZ
CSI Wireless, Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Trimble, Sunnydale, CA
Beeline Technologies, Westminster, CO
Cultiva, Swanton, VT
Farm Works, Hamilton, IN
Mapshots, Cumming, GA
Kee Technologies, Sioux Falls, SD
Midwest Technologies, Springfield, IL
Terradox, Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Thank You

I'm trying to convince the faculty in the Ag & Biosystems Engr. Dept. here at Iowa State to put together an exploratory course on precision agriculture for next year. The companies I listed above are some of the major players in the precision agriculture industry and I want to incorporate a map of them into my presentation.

Google maps has an API people can use. I'm not sure how easy it is but I've seen sites based on google maps with multiple pins it.

Yeah, I have seen a few things using google maps. I also thought you could do multiple landmarks in google earth.

What about the site that clubs use to show where their members live.
http://www.frappr.com/

I think you need a website to register but I am not for sure. Even if you did you could just throw one together real quick with Frontpage or something.

EDIT: I dont think you need a webpage. You just have to make up a group name and register.

That was the site I was trying to think of. Frappr uses the Google maps API. That's pretty sweet.
