Almost got caught!
 

I was driving along this one road with the speed limit at 50. I was kind of speeding. Probably going about 60-65? Then suddenly, I saw a black cop car coming at the other direction. I guess it had its radar on and caught me or something. I looked on my side mirror and could see it slowing down and signaling to make a U-Turn. I got paranoid so the 1st left/Right I saw, I turned quickly. Thank god it was only a few feet away. And then I just went somewhere and parked there for like 5 minutes or so and left back onto the original road. But man! If he was going to do what I thought he was, I'm so glad I got away. Whew! Getting kind of paranoid when I see cops now. :(

Nice Ive have been in a couple of those situation myself but i always turn and just gun it.

I was with a buddy in his wrx and ran from the cops on 610 at over 140mph

Damn, it's kind of crazy but I kind of just want to freaken have a cop chase me in my Eclipse just for fun and see if it can keep up with my eclipse. lol

I got pulled over with 13 other cars one night a few years back...old car club...9 cop cars where there...we all took off in different directions...some got awway..some got tickets...its was fun and I didn't get caught

Fucking common, if you are going to post up a thread about almost getting caught you better be going over 100mph and then get away. What probably happened is he saw the look on your face as he passed you, laughed his ass off cause you looked so scared. Then as he was laughing he saw the Krispy Kreme on the other side of the road and said "oh fuck im hungry" and turned around to go there. You didn't escape, you were the victim of another fat ass cop going to get some donuts.

I am quite sure that after all of the fast+furious movies (plus the new one coming) the cops are gonna be pretty fed up with us "street racers". If I knew that a cop was going to start chasing me, I would just pull over in advance because im a pussy.

I dont want to die in a car crash (well, if it was a cool car then maybe, but not a DSM)

Or worse yet, what if i vaproize some kid walking across the street?!? That would totally suck (not to mention the huge dent)

I found some cool places up north to do 100+, but no more city speeding for me.

Hahaha...that's funny. Should be like "No more city speeding for me..as of today!" :D. With these new speeding laws and crap I wouldnt want a ticket either...but probably wouldnt run from a cop...unless I knew I was going to get a way for sure :D. I've done that a couple times...really make you nervous.

You're right, cop cars are fairly slow. The one I rode along in wasn't too bad, but they are limited to 125 mph, which we hit twice in one night. And besides that, they know the roads very well, so chances of actually getting away are pretty slim.

Me and a buddy of mine were coming home from a car show late one night on a 5 lane highway, and we decided to make a high speed run, got to about 145-150 for about 3 miles then slowed down to 110 and bam here comes a pig from out of nowhere pulls my buddy over and i kept going. My friend got a ticket for 120+ and wreckless driving. i got away clean. I think they pulled him instead of me because he had more rice, (Grey body kit on a black car, WITH UNDERGLOWS ON LOL) I almost shit my pants when i saw that cop, felt bad for my friend too.

The penaltys are high enough now that if your going 100+ it's mostly worth it to run. I haven't ever run though, they like to give me BS tickets like tint and no proof of insurence. I'm sure with the Stealth they won't be so kind.

Anyways, I got a ticket like two weeks ago. I was heading into New Prague in my explorer and a cop pulled me over. Gave me a ticket for 10 over. $120. You got lucky.

But it's nothing. I agree with Craig. We've been doing 160 in the SRT down the back roads lately. That would have been a much better post. "Almost got caught! Doing 160 down the back roads of HWY 8!"
