WTB cheap good mpg 5spd car
 

This isn't mitsu related but am looking to pick up an inexpensive 5spd car to use as a daily cause commuting with my Silverado is killing me with gas. Let me know if you have anything. trying to stay under $1500

S10 with a 2.2l. It will be super rusty at that price point. Or a sunfire/cavalier. There is a guy on a local is300 fb group selling a 97 Camry 2.2l 4 cyl auto for 1500obo, has 250kish miles but looks clean and I think he is a mechanic

You can find a car that's good mpg and decent at that price point.

I'd look honda - EK or later generations of the civic. Super reliable, easy to work on, parts cheap and available.

Avoid Toyota IMO - might be reliable but harder to work on. Avoid anything other than an I4 engine configuration.

I've been looking for a Honda. May have found an accord coupe for 1000 but, may try to jack him down a couple hundred
