Just out of curiosity, who do you plan on doing the Infinity tuning for you? I had a guy in North Carolina remote tune mine and he was great. However his tune is locked and on a drag car where you probably want to be be able to make a lot of changes at the track, that might not work so well.

This thing is awesome! Looking forward to seeing it make some passes down the track.

Shane has gotten a bit more experience with them these last couple years. Or another shop I know of has some really good experience too

Thanks Nate, you and Mark were getting away too fast I had to do something to try and close the gap up a little!

This should be an awesome project. If you've done any AEM tuning you'll find the infinity a breeze to work with.

How many 8 second imports are there in MN?

I've done just a little with the Series 2 to get my car running, I've heard the infinity has its perks and I can't wait to see how it works!

I'd sitdown and figure out the bare minimum you need for wiring, then buy one of the quick/E-Z/Painless kits with that many circuits. It's nice to have everything color coded, numbered, and labeled should you have to change things later.

When I re-did the Datsun somehow changing from the OEM harness to the Painless one that has the same number of functions shaved 40lbs.

While expensive for convenience sake if I did it again I would have bought cannon plugs to use at the firewall instead of passing wires through grommets.

If you run all LED lights you can run pretty light gauge wire for the chassis harness since nothing draws any real power.

Yeah i'll have to do something, as of right now I think im going to disassemble and OEM harness with the stuff I wont need anymore, I suck at wiring though so it's going to be interesting

If you're going for pure racecar are you going to ditch the factory dash/gauges?

If so, one of the re-wire kits is really the simplest way. It is printed on the wires what their function is along with a number referenced to a wiring diagram.

Yeah it's full racecar. I'll be most likely using the AEM Dash. You're probably right though i'll have to sit down and see what I actually need

Well, not much of an update, but my steering wheel finally showed up so I took advantage of the warmer weather and got it mounted, The place I was going to have build my Manifold may not be able to get it done for awhile as they've been pretty busy, so I may need to go back to a 6870, or find someone else to make one.

Thanks Mark, it's a slow going process right now, I wish it were going a little quicker but there's a lot of things I need to get rolling and we're just kind of in limbo right now

Never heard of them, I was thinking MadFab out of Fargo since he's made a few of my friends manifolds he should have a Jig that will work with the bigger turbo

They bought Ron Shearer's business from him, they have some very nice manifolds and other stuff. Might be worth a look.

Oh nice, I saw the link you tagged me in they look pretty good. I just noticed with my front end there a couple posts that come up for the bumper to mount on and that sits right in the way of my current manifold. So I may need it to be a custom built piece
