Wanted, garage heat!

Looking to get some heat in my garage. Something like a 60k BTU NG forced air heater. Need a gas line ran, a heater, and installation. Anyone know someone that does this for a reasonable price, any referrals?

I'll join this request.

But I have a heater to install already.

they are so easy to put in. I put one in the town house in maple grove and then when we moved I put it in the house in plymouth.

best place to find a good size one is on k-bid

He said that he could do it. He is out about 2 weeks right now and would want to look at the job before quoting a price. He can also get good prices on furnaces.

If anyone wants a quote PM me with your contact info and I'll get it to him.

Just put it in, it's about as tough as putting in a carburetor. :D

There is a CL ad that looks promising, I'll forward it to you to see if it's someone you've already tried.

To get from my line/furnace area to my garage will take some work. Not something I want to tackle my first time.

Come check mine out some time, I just ran copper tubing from my basement to my garage. Just don't smoke.

Gas line is super easy now, use the flexible stainless stuff. I just ran a line 55' and it took me an hour to do it. CSST is what they call it and Menards has the better stuff. Should only need a 1/2" line run to it. I scored a 30k BTU heater on CL for $35 to supplement the in floor heat. All hooked up and heating for $150 total.

^Score ! I need to find that kind of deal

Re: Wanted, garage heat!

Only downside to the heater is that it is ventless. Even being natural gas the fumes do build up. Not a huge deal, every couple of days I open up a garage door for a couple of minutes and get fresh air in. It has worked great on my painting project. I plan on putting a bigger boiler in for the in floor heat so I will get rid of this then probably. I may just keep it around to help heat it up quick if I need to. It mounts on the wall out of the way. There are lots of them on craigslist for $75.
