FS: 1989 BMW 325IX E30

Up for sale today is a 1989 BMW 325IX that I picked up about a week ago on an impulse buy. I thought I needed a car at the time, this fit the ticket for me. Last week, ironically a few days after I bought it, my parents let me have their 2003 Toyota Matrix provided I pay them for it when I got out of college, so I now have no need for this car.

The previous owner took extremely good care of the car, I took note of his description when he had it on Craigslist, and will list it below. He was selling it because he and his wife were moving to Virginia and needed it out of their garage, as he already had a newer M3 and a few bikes.

Miles - 236K (Odometer has recently stopped working)
Color - Diamantschwartz Metallic w/gray cloth interior
Body Style - 4 Door/Automatic, Inline 6 (one of the most reliable motors BMW has ever made)

Car runs and handles great, especially in the snow, this model is equipped from the factory with AWD.

-Timing belt was done less than 10K ago.
-Has Bilstein shocks and struts.
-Transfer case was rebuilt a few years ago and included correctly lengthened driveshaft.
-Oil change with Amsoil every 5K.
-New starter 1 year ago.
-New brakes, pads, rotors all round 1 year ago.
-New MAF & intake boot
-Front seat heaters
-Block heater (if you plan on parking outside, this is handy)
-New CV boots 2 years ago
-New Pioneer deck with iPod/iPhone/MP3 aux input.
-Blizzak snow tires on rare BBS factory basket-weaves (about 30-40% tread left)
-Optima Yellow Top in the trunk, great starting power, especially for those cold mornings.

It's certainly not quick, but it gets through the snow really nicely, there is one small crack on the dash (most E30s have several), and some wear on the front seat bottoms. It has some surface rust, but no rust that is through and through anywhere, and some clear coat fade and small dings and dents here and there - to be expected for being 23 years old, and this one is in great shape body wise compared with most other E30s in the area. The muffler has a hole in it, and it is a little louder than usual, but not unbearable.

I was hoping to keep this as an awesome winter DD and then drive it in the summer, and perhaps do some body work and cheap paint job, but now that I have another car, I don't need this one. Would make a great project for someone else, or just a good winter beater or get around car.

With that said, I'm looking for $2000 or best reasonable offer.

Looking mostly for cash, but may be interested in trades for things that go bang plus cash as well or an AR-15 lower, as I'm working towards building a complete rifle.

PM or text works best, my number is 612.801.7061.
