Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
Well been a bit since I have updated the thread. Car is completely taken apart again for a few reasons. I was never really happy with the partial front half I did on the engine bay and wanted something more, it needs a Roll cage cause it's silly to not have one
For safety at this point and my good buddy bought a a downdraft paint booth and want to have it perfect instead of a garage job. Let me know what you think so far. http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j.../image_10.jpeg http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j.../image_11.jpeg |

Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
sexy. I'll leave the 16G on so I can see what the back of the car looks like at the track.
:lolz: |
Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
These carbon fenders might look pretty alright on here. Fawk.

Been very busy at work. Got this engine bay painted finally today before the metal started to rust. Been looking at lots of other cars on the net and it may be the end for this one very soon sadly. I have enjoyed working on it but just don't have any time to really run around racing and want vehicles that I can drive more reliably. Maybe a vet, nsx, 911. Who knows really but as time goes on I have kinda grown out of this project but u never know. |
Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
Same love and hate relationship everyone had with their dsm.

Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
Just make sure those fenders find a home on this. I think it'll really set it off!

Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
Finally got a moment to wrap this up in the new booth. So much easier in a downdraft is all I can say.

Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
Might as well update since I have been working hard on this project again. Motor and trans are back in and didn't even scratch the new paint. Fenders all line up good enough and fit well. Changed all the powdercoating. Eliminated a lot of the purple, switched to gloss black instead of flat, and polished the turbo to get the anodized purple look"lots or work". Things to come soon is I have 80' of 1 3/4 chromoly for the cage in this car sitting here now. Already removed the windshield and the the steering cross bar and rear strut support bar. Hope to have this be a fun toy this year and really have gotten remotivated to get it out. Also going to get some drag radials and switch to a rpf1 setup possibly. I still like the evo 9 wheels so maybe if I redo them and ditch the plasti dip and do them right so we will see.

Figured white would be fine since I never drive it, I am a little concerned about brake dust but we will see. http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...s/IMG_5010.jpg Freshly powdercoated and rebuilt. http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...s/IMG_4966.jpg |

Gorgeous as always. Nice work.

Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
Very nice mate. I'm curious to see if those calipers yellow or not.
What turbo are you on now? Did you rebuild that T case I need one done too. |
Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
It's coming along nicely, looking great!
|
Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
Glad the fenders fit well! Nice progress.

Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
Thank you for all the nice comments!
Aaron to answer your questions. Yes the transfer case is freshened up. I am really hoping that the powder does not yellow. Serious nightmare getting powder coat off brake calipers. The turbo is a fp 3786hta. |
