RicerPete's BMW

Long story short - The Galant's transmission went out, and the Genesis was not an all season vehicle, so I traded in the Genesis and the Galant is headed to the scrap yard. The replacement;

2011 BMW 335i xDrive
40k miles, automatic
BMW Performance Package
M-Sport Package
Shadowline Trim Package

Basically driving it home, I fell in love.

Seems like everyone's found the light.

My old man has a '12 335i xDrive and I have an '08 335i RWD both have M suspension. He's got the M aero package but I wouldn't trade my headlight sprayers for it.

Good buy! Should be fun this summer.

Very nice! Exact twin to mine right down the interior trim and all packages, except the color. You will love it, enjoy! I'll have an awesome set of winter wheels to sell you if I move to florida :)

Congrats!! I enjoyed the snaps. Did you get Wendy's on the way home?

How easy is it to hold a burger, drink a soda, text, and use the navigation at the same time?

Before you go anywhere, I need a ride in your car!

Fartcan and neons already ordered! ;)

Jet actually sent me a couple of links to some good forums. I've got a lot of reading to do. I never really understood how easily modifiable these cars were. Its pretty crazy.

Pete after selling the 335, id can tell the first thing to do is install the alpina transmission flash as the transmission shifts super lazy. Remember to change the transmission fluid and filter at 50k. Also have the intake side media blasted to clean out the carbon build up. Other then that enjoy, the car. Looks awesome! Congrates!

Thanks for the insight. I've been reading about the Alpina flash. I just haven't found out if the dealer can see it if its done, or can I flash the transmission back to OE if I have to take it in.

Haha! The paddle shifting on this car is slightly better than the Genesis, but still it isn't great. I'm hoping the Alpina flash takes care of this.

Also I'd like to note: I downloaded the owner's manual to take a glance at it. ITS 286 PAGES LONG! Geezus!

Remember he has a 2011, he already has a pretty good flash on the tranny and the N55's don't have nearly the problem with intake valves that the N54 do. I have seen pics at 100k and they really aren't too bad. Alpina flash makes manual mode faster, but not much of an upgrade in the rest.

polishmafia 03-02-2015 08:38 AM

Re: RicerPete's BMW

Ah, Shaun's was an N54. Thats why I didn't find many results for (my) N55. Most threads talked about the N54.
