2g dsm sputters and only makes 5lbs. No boost leaks. Help
So my 2g gsx start, and idles decently, drives fine but when I try to pull in any gear, it builds 5lbs and just sputters and won't build anymore power. There are no boost leaks, no exhaust leaks, fuel system is running fine, but I can't seem to figure out the issue.
The lc1 wideband reads 23.5 while driving and idling but under load it runs at 8.5 which I know is way off but why? What else could be causing this? The car just completed Full rebuild, ready to hit around 600 at the wheels. Any ideas? I can post a log up if anyone would like. I'm tuning remotely with a guy on dsmtuners with dsmlink v3 full Thanks! Tanner |

You're sure there are no boost leaks? Changed the plugs?

I'd say leaks or plugs n wires.

Positive there are no leaks. Went from 30 to 12lbs over 45 seconds. Plugs are new Ngk bpr7es gapped to .024. I'm running a coil on plug setup that was a home made setup. I heard that could be the issue, so I'm switching over to a sparktec cop. I don't have a dis or arc2 yet, but I read that that's shouldn't be an issue at this low of boost. Thoughts?

Switch to stock coils and plugs to rule out any issues.

Alright, I'll see if I can't find a coil pack and wires this weekend. And ill completely seal the intake track so there are 0 leaks whatsoever. I'll post back when this has been completed. Does anyone know dsmlink pretty well? I could post a log up to see if someone can find something wrong there?

You'll probably have better luck posting that log on the dsmlink forum.
