Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
Very nice, also looking at the in car video again, I think you let off at the first cone for the final trap and ET, make sure you drive threw the markers to get a great pass.

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
Made a new battery mount today, I’m going move the battery back to the front of the car. Currently I have a rear mounted PC680. The battery is on its way out so I picked up a PC545, It’s 4 pounds lighter. I will be removing a lot of 2AWG going to the back of the car, the sealed box and some other stuff. It should shave off 15 pounds, at a minimum. I’m also integrating a solid state relay up front for the shut down switch.

- 40 for the fuel tank - 30 for the front STM brakes alone - I have the molded flex-a-lite rear windows. We will see how much they shave off, they are super light. - Being conservative with 15 on the battery move |
Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
fuck that is awesome. I wish I could drop 300 lbs off my car total. Get it down to 2950 or less without me in it.
How much did your car weigh the last time you checked it? |
Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
My father in-law cut up my rear rotors, he has a cnc in his garage. I need to weigh them to see how much came off.

Those rear rotors look sweet! So those are just scalloped stockers?

So that was the weight before these last few weight reductions? Or is that as of today? Rotors looks awesome. Cool that you made your own! So 8's next yr? It's gonna be a long winter I hope you have no plans to change to an auto. |

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
I couldn't get the tank anodized they said that I would have bare aluminum spots on the inside of the tank. I ordered a different style tip over valve that I could seal up. No big deal, I also added an an6 so I could drain the fuel in the winter or when it sits too long.
