It's currently my only car and I don't want to have to deal with trying to find an E85 station every time I need to fill up. I thought I was going to make 50whp more with all this work and that isn't the case, so there's no way I'd make almost 100whp more just by switching to E85.

E85 was 40hp/60tq on my car. A nice bump for sure.

My car honestly gained over 100whp for sure. when i baslined on e85 with a stock rom from sheides i put down 267 at 17psi, and ended up at 341 at 30 psi. I never was tuned on pump gas so im just assuming it has to be around 90-100whp.

55whp/75wtq for me.

E85 owns...but it does suck filling up all the time sometimes. I find myself pre-filling a lot when i know i am going to be places that might not have it. Cheap gas though.

I do the same thing.

E85 stations are all over the metro. you have 3-4 right in the roseville area.

You are probably right about not making 100whp, I forget you evo dudes run a lot more boost on pump. I just talk from what I experienced so i apologize.

My E85 mileage suffers minimal compared to what everyone seems to be crying about. 25 to 28 pump to E85 highway and I think only 1-2 mpg city.

Either way, I'm interested and have my fingers cross this ETS FMIC does the job.

I live off Lexington and 694, the nearest E85 station is something like 5 or 7 miles away when there are 3 BP stations within that. It just is not practical.

5-7 miles, that's nothing, you just have to get used to filling up when you are out already so you don't have to make special trips. I think i drive 4-5 miles to fill up typically. Totally worth it!

But it's not super convenient so I do understand where you are coming from.

I work right off of 694 and Lexington and there is a Holiday station right off of 96 and 35w that has E85. That doesn't seem to bad considering I am at work 6 days a week.

Oh wow, that's pretty close considering I take 35W to/from work every day. The last map I looked at had the closest station to me in Fridley or someplace.

I go there to get car washes. (Holiday wash pass ftw!).

How's the car feel with the ETS FMIC on there?

Pretty good. According to the road dyno my car is now keeping up with cars that at last count were making 40AWHP+ more than my car, so something is definitely going on. Will have to see what the results are at the dyno day, the proof is in the pudding.

Lol and I raced everyone you raced and they were neck and neck with me till I hit 4th gear. So your car is keepin up with a 400awhp evo.. So lets make that 120 awhp difference not 40 awhp..I highly doubt im at 400 awhp bein that said tho...

I go to a Holiday only a couple blocks from work but nothing totally convenient to home. Like you guys, I work 6+ days/wk so it hardly matters.

Did you and Scheides get that 4th gear knock figured out on Saturday?

asshanson 04-19-2010 10:13 PM

Re: Teh Dizzevo

Wish I could have raced you. I was pretty neck and neck with the 330whp evos like Jake and Bryce.

Re: Teh Dizzevo

Finally got around to installing the Beatrush driveshaft bushings and rear end bushings that I've had forever. Since I have the AWD Motorsports 2-piece driveshaft I only had to use two of the four bushings. The rear end bushings were the easiest things I have installed on this car ever. Was hoping to install the Blox front motor mount but ran out of time. The driveline whines at cruising now where as it was pretty much silent before, and there is a oscillating vibration at highway speed now but I'm hoping that is just the right rear wheel bearing that will be replaced soon.

At the same time that I bought my new helmet I bought a Corbeau FX1 Pro with the baller suede. I finally unwrapped it, mounted the sliders and bracket to it and installed it in the car. Got in and it felt great, except that it sat really high (higher than the stock seats!) and the bottom of it felt like it was trying to dump me out. I drove around for a while with it and ended up taking it back out. If I can find a way to lower it and angle it back a bit then I'll keep it, if not then I'll just sell it which I would really regret.

Also, a couple weeks ago I swapped mufflers with Trevor, my Buscher race muffler (old, worn out bullet-style) with his Buscher quiet (nice, shiny Magnaflow). I can actually hear myself think while driving the car now.
