GVR4 battery relocation tray

This moves the battery farther back towards the firewall, so you can mount a DSM MAF and charge piping.

$25

Re: GVR4 battery relocation tray

hmm...do you have a pic of how it sat in the engine bay? I guessing it doesn't use the stock battery frame. pretty interested (for real this time ;) ) if you have pictures of the setup in a gvr4.

Um, I dont think I took pictures in the car. I can try to find some? Or you can just bring your car over and we can figure it out.

Re: GVR4 battery relocation tray

ah ha! Found a thread on gvr4 forums that illustrates where this relocates the battery to. Cool?

Re: GVR4 battery relocation tray

bump, as far as I can tell this is 50% or less the price you can get one new... if you can find one which seems to be next to impossible at this point. Going on fleabay if I don't get some serious interest.

Re: GVR4 battery relocation tray

What size battery would this need?

Re: GVR4 battery relocation tray

I'd would guess a battery size that's around the size of the smaller honda/acura batteries would fit into this tray pretty well.

Re: GVR4 battery relocation tray

How do you think a battery like that would handle a small system like a 10" sub and amp.

Re: GVR4 battery relocation tray

lol. dunno how long it'll last...probably not long. I have heard those small Odyssey batteries can take the voltage :D BUT they're spendy. People say they have used the lawnmower batteries.....but i daily drive mine and can't take that chance of being stuck on the road.

Re: GVR4 battery relocation tray

I run a P600.2 (600 watt RF amp) on my dual voice coil alpine type r sub and beat the shit out of it on a daily basis, I've had the same (bought it USED) odyssey battery for about 2 years now and it's started in the dead of winter. My alternator probably has a lot to do with it but I would guess ours are close to the same amp rating? I also have a carputer that requires about 70 watts from the AC converter to run all the time.

I daily drive my VR-4 with a Odyssey PC680 clone and have absolutely no problems.

Re: GVR4 battery relocation tray

the tray can handle a 5.5" x 8" battery, or so.
