I'm still baffled by this pic; never seen that before.

Just a thought, 3rd party test on the injectors? Some other part of the fuel system goofed up somehow? Do any of the other cylinders show any form of washing as well? Did you ever drill out the siphon on the fuel pump?

How do the other cylinders look? I would have a third party look at the injectors.

You could get a 3rd party to check them, but what would be your intent behind doing that? If its just for your own knowledge then great. But if you think you will get any sort of financial compensation based on the results, I doubt you will get anything. It sucks, but I highly doubt anyone will claim full responsibility for this.
