It has been a long road and a fun one but the time has finally come to sell my car. I am getting married next year and realistically the car just sits and never moves as I just don't drive it much anymore, it's a bit sad. The car runs pretty much flawless as Jon at 5150 racing has been taking care of the tuning for several years now and he was in Minnesota 2 years ago or so and tuned my car on MAP's dyno and it has run great since. The car is going to be sold AS IS with all of the mods. I have spent well over another evo into this car over the years and I have changed setups so many times I have lost count. I might forgot some mods in this post so please forgive me if I do but I am happy to answer any questions. The car currently sits at 41,926 miles and has been on the same motor since 28-29k miles. Currently the car sits at 446whp/535wtq on a stock turbo setup. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...pskchfha7k.jpg Here are the mods I have currently: Exhaust Side Buschur bullet exhaust Ultimate Racing Test Pipe MAP 02 dump downpipe OEM ported/coated exhaust manifold (by MAP) OEM turbo - Ported/coated by MAP Intake Side AMS intake Greddy FMIC Depo racing UICP Depo Racing 3" LICP MAP ported 64mm TB MAP rev 3 ported Intake Mani FUEL AEM 320 fuel pump DW hardwire fuel pump kit MAP 6AN fuel feed line Fuel lab fuel filter (inline in engine bay, the big one) Boomba fuel rail AEM FPR ID1300's E85 Motor/Head GSC s2 cams Ported head by Motors by Gosh (John Gosh in Rogers MN) +1mm intake/exhaust valves (Supertech) Cosworth head gasket, 1.3mm 2.2L overbore motor - ERL sleeved motor - AMS JE spec 10:1 compression pistsons with manley I beam rods - stock crank ACL rod/main bearings ARP 625+ head Studs Clutch/Trans ACT 6 puck clutch Buschur diff pins Appearance/Suspension/misc Eibach Lowering Springs (Fenders Rolled/Pulled to fit wheels/tires) Whiteline Rear Sway Bar Bushings Everywhere including - Engine, shifter, rear diff, driveline etc (will have to look at receipts for all of these) Works Short Shifter Enkei RFP1's - Gunmetal - 18x10.5 Hankook Ventus V12 Evo - 275/25/18's AEM WB 02 integrated into ECU Perrin Shorty Antenna Tune by Jon Drenas at 5150 Racing aka BakaUnchi I have receipts for almost everything also if anyone is curious too as I keep most stuff. Everything important was installed professionally and tuned professionally and the car as of right now needs nothing but a battery that died from me never driving the car...oh and the front left tire is a bit low on air ;) The car also is cleaner than I ever remembered it. I spent 10 hours detailing the car two weekends ago with a friend who came over with an electric buffer and all the professional style detailing tools and we cleaned the crap out of the car and it looks phenomenal. I have a DSLR camera but suck with it but hopefully these pictures show how clean/good the car looks. I had another evo owner come pick up my slicks that I sold him and he said the car looked brand new and that was before I detailed it! Here are some current pictures: http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...psbtpmulon.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...psrj7kkyqw.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...psigpoi0mf.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...pszfwfrlvq.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...ps6skculin.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...ps0jfrhvyi.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...psvcfzhksc.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...ps4yvo8ip6.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...psejn8wtff.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...psvvgsegms.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...psd7lmgqka.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...ps9622ldxf.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...pse6sftvp3.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...pstyii8cab.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...ps9ladun4u.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...psva0kiikh.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...psgd28gqec.jpg I used photobucket for the photos as some sites didn't like google photos but i have high rez photos there if anyone wants the link PM me. Keep in mind buyers, this car is heavily modified! It is loud (exhaust) but runs great. This car would take way more than I am asking, as in 10's of thousands of dollars more to create this again and lots of blood, sweat and tears. I am asking a very fair price as this isn't even much above a stock car with those miles so please no low balls! If anyone recommends someone that buys the car I will paypal them a $100 finders fee and if it's full price I will do a $200 fee so please spread the word. I will update this when I think of more things to add and will answer questions via PM or this thread. I can take more pictures as needed. I didn't do the engine bay yet but it's stock looking but will gladly do so upon request (i ran out of energy to do that honestly lol). And for those that might not know, here is my thread over the years. Against my better judgement I will link this thread lol. It actually is one of my most complete build threads. http://www.mitsustyle.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25695 Thanks for looking and feel free to post and bump for me! - Dave (murlo) |

Totally Sharing! Sorry to hear of you leaving the game as such a great resource and contributing member, but I'm sure bigger things are to come. This is my favorite sounding X to date also!

Re: FS: 2008 Evo X GSR SSS w/mods 41,926 miles - $26,800 OBO
Not sure why but it won't let me update the thread title.
Update: Back up for sale, it's all fixed up and ready to go. There was a slightly bent exhaust valve in cylinder 4. I pulled the head and had MAP rebuild it and replace all the exhaust valves and did a stage 1 as well to freshen it up. Miles went up a bit on the car but it's running great now, just had it dyno'd at RS and it made some good jam for a stock turbo. I also dropped the price as I need it gone and wanted the price to be a bit more realistic as the car is getting older. Let me know if anyone has any leads, I will give a finders fee if I sell it. Thanks. Congrats on quick sale! How does it feel to be rid of it?

Re: FS: 2008 Evo X GSR SSS w/mods 42,931 miles - $23,000
Bitter sweet is really the only way to describe it. Feels really weird. It hasn't set in really. I spent so many years with the car that it's going to be tough getting used to it. I will have to buy a v8 powered mullet mobile to make me feel better I think ;)

Re: FS: 2008 Evo X GSR SSS w/mods 42,931 miles - $23,000
Yeah, it was weird seeing my car drive away after 18 years, but the mullet mobile eased the pain significantly. I'm already ready for my next one. :D

I am for sure going to need a mullet mobile of my own to feel whole again. Hopefully sooner than later.
