Well filed a claim with paypal about my side skirts. Since Sergio hasn't responded since July 27th. When he said he was going to ship them put the next day.

The guy at paypal didn't seem to listen to me however. I told him I only needed the refund for the side skirt's ($270+shipping)
But he put in claims for all my transactions for Sergio. And gave him till sept 19th to respond or I get all of it back which isn't right as the rest was ok.

Since Sergio hasn't responded in weeks to me about my side skirts I filed a claim with paypal.

The idiot at paypal however filled for all 3 payments when I specificall told them I only needed the cost of the side skirts plus shipping refunded. So now it looks like I'm going after a refund for all of it.

Sergio has till sept 19th to respond or I get refunded all my money back for the whole thing, which isn't right but hopefully Sergio will respond

Re: 1997 GSX - DD, RR, and 11's.

realized I havent updates this in forever.

wish I had good news but truth is since picking up the car from dsm revival in spartanburg back in what Oct.

I've got to drive the car for a total of 5 days. All of which were driving either home, to an oil change place or back to the shop that did the work.

the car was fine till the builder said switch to different weight oil (used his specific oil) then the car started leaking, followed shortly by smoking.
it was leaking so bad I didn't even bother pulling it off the lift at the oil change place I had the tow truck guy back the trailer right to the lift and we pushed it onto the trailer.

I finally got the car back with no oil leaks after a like 2 months.

Then got fed up with that guy as it still smokes and took it some where else. Nick Derrick place.

anyrate I asked him to look into the smoking issue, tune the car, and get an alignment done.
5 months he's had the car and still not fixed right.

he says the tune is done, he actually had a suspension bolt come off just after doing a tuning run that probably would have killed him had it been at speed vs just about back to his house.
so thay prompted me to have him check check the whole car over. he found 4 bolts in the back suspension that were on thier last threads and about to fall out.

after all that he went out to test the car 1 last time and got 1.2miles from his house and it sprayed all the oil out of the car.

That was 4 weeks ago and he hasn't touched it since
I swear I miss the days I could just drive 30min to our local shop or call up the guys and have a weekend install party at the house.

picts of the front driver side suspension that the bolt fell out just after nick did his tuning run.

also to follow up on the carbonetic stuff. all my parts came in and are currently collecting dust in my garage.

I found a shop today in sumpter(40min from me) that I'll probably use to install all this stuff and do the body work on my white car. they were actually used on one of Chip Foose's overhauln TV episodes.

so will probably be expensive but at this point I'd pay extra for work to get done

Well cars back at home finally. The red car is in bad need of a paint job now though. Sitting outside faded the top of the car really badly and the paint is flaking in a few spots.
Also needs to have the brake fluid done as its a really weak peddle even though the pads and rotos have less then a few hundred miles in them (mostly highway).

Also last night the starter stopped working. Most things point to a solenoid or relay, not the starter itself, so ill try and tackle that this weekend.

Now onto the positives. Last weekend i finally got around ti installing the carbonetic's front lip and side skirts.

Also here are some picts of the interior. I have to admit i still get a smile driving these cars. And because they are becoming rarer and rarer especially in the south. I've already had several people comment on my car while I've been driving around town or at work.

There is a track night at CMP sept 10th im pushing to go to. Hopefully will get everything fixed and get to my first track night with the car

How long was it sitting outside for? That's definitely brutal for paint, especially down south! The interior looks very nicely done!

Brake fluid is easy...and I hope your starter issue is as well.

Re: 1997 GSX - DD, RR, and 11's.

Starter turned out to be nothing but a wire that came off the tab. (It was raining and 430am so i never checked)

The car was at shops for just over 3yrs

Re: 1997 GSX - DD, RR, and 11's.

So was a productive day today.

My son and i drove to columbia to get motul rbf600 brake fluid from cycle gear (45min each way) amd have to admit was fun trip.. weather was awesome and there happened to be a car event going on so we had tons of cars on the highway. Several tried to get me to race but with my son in the car we just enjoyed watching them try and egg us on. (Id give a little hit to get them to take off to put a smile on his face but never more then that)

Was a good feeling and brought back tons of memories of racing back in minnesota.

So got home and decided i was going to fix the back up camera and stereo that hasn't been working since i first picked up the car from back in Oct of last year. And happy to say its all back up and working again.

So to celebrate took my son for a cruise to get ice cream at sonic.

Glad to see you're enjoying the car and get to share some of that with your son! Car looks cool too, think I'll always have a soft spot for a 2g dsm

Hour 20, that’s four sessions right? For a DSM I’d say you can’t expect any better reliability than that! Glad to hear the car performed well.

Very impressive, congratulations! I'm glad you're finally getting to put in the seat time after all these years.
