Carbon wrap the deletes. Would look sick.

Mark,

We are good enough friends I hope you can take some constructive criticism....those mirror deletes look like piss. Seriously you might as well just cover the hole in painters tape, it might look better!

:)

I got a question after taking out all that weight why keep the stock dash? It may not weigh a lot but a simple gauge panel would weigh less.

The dash is gutted underneath, its light already. The point is to keep it kind of looking like a DSM. I can take it from beast mode to street mode in about an hour: Carpet, passenger seat & belts, center console, door panels, street tires and now mirrors.

I was going to add, the more I look into a race-only 1g, the more I realize how much of a street car your setup still is. Rock on.

Thanks! I still like to think it’s capable of driving on the street, although every year I drive it less miles.

I worked a little more on the mirror delete tonight. One side is almost fully paint prepped. I'm going to mount them just like the factory mirrors so it will be super easy to swap over.

Dislike. :(

What are those mirror deletes made out of? They look great.

Sure does.

Do you have those rear diffusers on your car? (plates with holes in them for the back bumper)

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects

I’m ready for a great weekend at Cedar Falls this coming weekend. Who is else coming down?

I’m more ready for this event then what I was for the muscle car shootout last month. I took more weight out of the car, it should be flirting with 2500lbs without me in it! I ran a 9.40 with it weighing 2870, I think? Now it will be around 2700 with me in it? I’m super excited to get a higher MPH, my goal is to hit 160MPH at the traps. I also added a little timing on my tune too! It’s uncontrollable on the streets when it colder, I hope the house of hook holds up to its legacy! I adjusted my clutch, if you saw the video in my car when I race the finals at MAP’s event and my gauges popped out of my dash, due to my clutch engagement being too high on the pedal. I adjusted the height and ripped a launch out on the street and holy shit its ready to go!

The weather forcast this weekend worries me a little, I hope rain doesn’t destroy my weekend. I’m ready to go! Oh and Shep sent me an upgraded T-case to test!

You seem pumped! Good to hear the car is doing work, can't believe how light you got! Should pick your brain when it comes time to lose some weight in my battle tank. It and myself are both going on winter diets haha.

Keep up the good work!

Good luck, Mark! Wish I could be there to see it, but I am balls deep in a house project :/

Hopefully the lower weight will add dividends in keeping the drive train together!
