2003 Evo 8 GSR - Tarmac Black - 70k on MAP built 2.0

Well, I'm officially switching to an old man's car and going the vette route. I figure I'd post my Evo for sale as I fix up a few final touches. I'm going to work on getting the timing belt done and get my bumpers painted up nice. Here are some details and the CL post:
https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/c...116972614.html

I bought it with a bad engine, had it rebuilt by MAPerformance, and it only has about 70k miles on the built motor. I drive 70 miles a day, so I've racked up a ton of freeway miles. I cleaned up miscellaneous details and installed a few other items. I'll try to list everything:

- 264 cams
- 10.5 Hotside on Stock Turbo

- Timing Belt Kit (not installed yet)

Intake/Exhaust
- Perrin Air Intake
- Larger Intercooler
- 3" Full Exhaust and Muffler
- MAPerformance Heat Shield
- AEM Wideband and Boost Gauge

Transmission
- ACT 2600 Six Puck Clutch
- New Fresh Fluids
.....- Transfer Case: Redline Heavyweight Shockproof Fluid
.....- Transmission: Redline MT-90
.....- Rear Diff: OEM Mitsubishi LSD Gear Oil

Suspension
- Swift Springs (First photo with springs, other two stock)
- Whiteline Bump Steer Kit (Just installed)
- Alignment by Jeff The Alignment Guy

Wheels/Tires:
- 18" Tenzo Wheels
- 245/40ZR18 HTR ZIII's w/ great tread
- Hawk HPS Brake Pads
- Motul RBF 600 Brake Fluid
- Mud Flaps
*Winter wheel setup available for a few hundred
.....- Stock 17" Enkei Evo 8 Wheels

Body/Interior
- Polyurethane Front Lip
- Hydrodipped Center Console and Radio Trim
- SSL Sound Package (amp and sub not installed currently)
- Driver's Seat Lowering Brackets
- Tinted Windows All Around
- New Cabin Air Filter
Price: $15,900

Another transition to a Vette owner, I'm thinking I'll be right behind you on this.

My best correlation between the two is that the Evo is like a 2 stroke dirt bike, and the vette is a 4 stroke. Mine is a stock C5Z, so it doesn't have the muscle car feel I got from my 'ol 94 Z28 with 383 stroker and glooooorious exhaust. I gotta sell the Evo and then look at some fun add-on's for the vette. This Evo is certainly the most attached car I've ever had. Hopefully someone takes it over and gets the same enjoyment

It's hard to price it when there's only a few on Craigslist to compare to. It's crazy

Glws. Still love those wheels on a black evo! Glad they are still getting good use.

I hate putting all of these miles on the Evo. Such a waste of a good car. The Corvette has a much easier clutch, but still a complete waste when it's stop and go traffic all the way home. I never go for cruises or anything, because I'd rather be on the lake when it's nice out.

I'm very tempted to get a Prius for my 70 mile journey to and from work. There's barely anywhere to have fun on my drive, so I might as well drive the least fun car known to man... and save a ton of money for beer monies.

With a lower priced Evo, I get newcomers that don't know much about them yet and are afraid of figuring out work for the car. I'm currently waiting for my time slot at Jeff The Alignment Guy next week and then I can plan the timing belt work. Might have to go to DB if RS is swamped during the One Lap of America tour. Don't tell the wife, but I don't feel a hurry to get rid of it :/ It has way more pizazz than the Corvette

I'm going to talk to the higher ups here at MAP this might be a contender for our driving program here.

Hell, that's not a bad idea. It is sporting a MAP built, assembled, and installed motor with a shiny MAP exhaust heat shield showing through the hood.

The Whiteline bump steer kit is in and Jeff The Alignment Guy had his way with my suspension, so another item is marked off the list. My timing belt kit is going in next week
