WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
Must be: AWD, 5 Speed, not heavily modified, no rust.

Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
Still looking.

Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
Have a shell you can buy. Buy the '92 for the body (zero rust), get the '94 for the rest of the parts. Needs engine, clutch, carpet and a little paint (needs driver fender that I have as well).

Good luck then. Hope you're prepared to pay/have a wallet book to match your taste.

Didn't you already get one?

I may end up looking for a clean evo if I can't find a nice 1g in the next year. I'm not sure what it is about 1gs, but I'd take a clean one over just about anything. |
Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
You aren't the guy that got that clean blue eclipse?

I have seen his thread though, so I do know what eclipse you're talking about and that's exactly what I'm looking for. |
Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
Bump.
Really would like to find something within the next month or two!! |
Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
Best find a car down south and start planning a trip soon then!
|
Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
I don't think it matters where the car is, just that it was taken care of. The good ones have never been driven in winter up here.
|
Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
One of the nicer ones get listed on CL every summer. For about $10k. I told the guy its really a $5k car, but he scoffed. Money may talk, though. (Black 1GB Talon, 10k miles, Chanhassen,MN). I still have his phone number.
I know of an OLD guy who bought a 91 1GA NEW, didn't want to mod the stock engine so pulled it and bought a 2nd engine - Hes probably near death haha maybe he'd sell his garage queen. He's in Circle Pines, MN. Lives on my friend's street. |

Evo X or bust. After owning 5 DSM's, an Evo IX, and an Evo X, the only one I'd really suggest someone buy in this day & age is the X. That car at least has a decent amount of creature comforts and features to make it a viable/livable DD.

GVR4.

Still looking, have about 4-6 grand cash max to spend.
Will pay a nice finders fee if anyone finds something. |
Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
Bump
|
Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
Last bump or I'll be buying something else. :(
|
Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
I've got a '90. Depending on your goals it could use a little love on the body. Low miles though and its almost 100% stock.
|
Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
I'm kinda surprised there aren't more around, but I guess I haven't seen any lately. I'll keep my eyes open.
|
Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
save yourself some headache and buy an evo or V8 car
|
Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
If you're looking for one in good condition, they are hard to come by. EVO is easier but there is a decent $ difference when it comes to one that DOESNT have a salvage title which seems all to common now.

C5s seem to be doing just fine
|
Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
If you don't mod them. Who does that?
|
Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
nicks 600/680 at the wheels 170k mile LS1 seems to be just fine.
I get it we need to make it something not affordable. |
