They were purchased thru an AT&T store and never unlocked or jailbroke. They have always been used through AT&T. That said I have no idea what it entails to use them through another carrier.

I will get some pictures up tomorrow. The screens are perfect and there are no scratches to speak of. There is very little scuffing on the back side of the phones as well.

Here's a picture showing the minor scuffing on the backs of the phones. The angle and the lighting catches them perfectly, the scuffs are otherwise very hard to see on one of the phones. The other phone does have noticeable scuffing on the back cover.
As you can see the front of each phone is pristine. There are NO marks whatsoever on either screen. One is my phone used for less than 6 months, the other is my sisters phone used for a little under a year. Both function flawlessly and have excellent battery life.

**edit** Just info: the first and third pics are my phone, the 2nd and 4th are my sister's.
