'95 Eclipse GS dead...
Hey guys,
I do apologize if this isnt that right place and i did try to find a thread that was created but i couldnt. Problem is back in Oct/Nov 2011 i was driving along at 65 and all of a sudden car check engine light came on, RPM's dropped to 0, so pulled over and tried starting it(probably shouldnt of)after i was a a complete stop but nothing. My side mechanic said timing belt is loose so it probably f**** up the valves.(he really didnt look as he was moving away) These are the following codes i got: P0340 P0134 P0351 P0352 P1390 P1391 Last thing my side mechanic did before this happened was putting on a new Exhaust header(the new one was warped a little) I think he may have overtightened it which may have caused the problem but i have no clue. So if anyone has any idea or wants to check it out for me feel free to let me know. I live in Princeton. I do apologize if i shouldnt of made this thread. Thanks a lot. Much appreciated. |
Re: '95 Eclipse GS dead...
Sounds like your timing belt went. Trying to start it afterwards didn't do anything, it was already toast. The mechanic also couldn't have caused the issue. There are a few other possibilities, but that is the most likely. Do a compression test and you will know for sure.
