fuel pump hanger cover
So like most have delt with, all the 8 mm nuts/studs broke on the hanger cover or what ever it's called, I have a few ideas on how to fix this once I can get the damn line lose lol. I am just curious on how others have fixed this issue?
I drained the tank etc. And am going to grind down the broken studs then drill them out, then replace with stainless bolts. Now I've seen ppl use a little jb weld to hold the studs in place, not sure if I really want to use jb on the inside of the tank? I seen a kit that ppl have used to fix this and cannot find where it was purchased so I could mimic it. |
Re: fuel pump hanger cover
Was on tuners for a bit but haven't come up with the right key words I guess to bring up any threads about this issue.

Re: fuel pump hanger cover
Ive drilled out the studs and then tapped the holes with the same size thread and then screwed bolts from the inside up and jb welded them in as long as you get them straight it works great

This is probably the route I'm going to go.
