Just like with Ferguson, the truth always slowly trickles out...

...after the media and public have passed judgement. Guilty until proven innocent.

Its a he said she said battle at this point. For some reason they uncovered that the van made an undisclosed stop that was now caught on bystander camera. 4 stops instead of the 3 noted by police originally. Not good for their story...

Also Im not sure if the other prisoner is a good source, especially if they are white lol.

I have a feeling there wont be enough evidence to make any charges against the cops and it will all go unresolved as usual.

Unresolved as usual? With all the public scrutiny on the police as of late, I don't think any major case like this has gone unresolved, especially with the DOJ offering to step in and assist. Seems like every day there is a new article about a cop getting arrested, fired, etc.

Unresolved for lack of proof. Just like the Missouri case, the cop resigned, his life is ruined essentially. There was lack of proof to charge him, so the unrest remains on the other side..

I disagree, Darren Wilson was cleared by everyone up to and including the DOJ due to the evidence.

Slow down there Sparky,....

Eric Holder's DOJ found that Officer Wilson's account of what happened was true based on the evidence at the scene, inside of the Police SUV, entry wounds, etc. And the evidence found proved that the so called "witnesses" were collectively lying to entrap a white officer based on race.

The reason he resigned is because of all of the threats against him and his family, the distortion of the facts by the media and those with agendas that don't involve the truth.

Re: Just like with Ferguson, the truth always slowly trickles out...

I agree with the ruling and they cleared him based on evidence that was on hand, but it wasnt enough in my opinion to totally know what events took place 100%. There will always be that degree of skepticism though, even if there is footage.

There was no camera footage like the guy that was shot while running away from the cops a couple weeks ago. And yea while there wont always be evidence like that to show what went down, thats what I meant by unresolved. I should have put it it a different way.

In the end, I guess you believe what you want to believe, regardless what the facts are.

My guess is this is nothing more than a ploy to calm the protesters down. I guess we'll see, but I'm thinking they don't have very strong evidence yet. The sad part is, this is playing with the lives of six officers and their families like they're puppets.

I agree, even if one of them somehow was guilty, if the other 5 are innocent their lives are now messed up either way.

Oh, without a doubt. Regardless of the trial outcome, the lives of all six and their families are forever changed.

The Police are not Animal Control for Humans. They cant just run around and arrest anyone without probable cause. It should have been "Why did you run?" "I dont like police" "Let me check for warrents... Oh nothing, Be on your merry way"
And even that is going too far. We do not live in a police state where police can arrest anyone for anything. There must be probable cause. And in this case they ruled that there was no probable cause. And there must be repercussions for those actions that left a man dead. Not a black man, but a man.

The law is too flexible on running from the cops. http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/natio...301733381.html

Why would you run if you are innocent? I mean if a cop makes eye contact with you in a car and you speed away in a hurry, will they pursue you for probable cause of suspicion?

We'll see how this plays out, it's early yet.

Innocent people don't run from the cops, simple as that.

While thats true, they still didnt have anything on him to even arrest him. They did find a knife, which is legal but they wanted to charge him with having a switchblade, even though it wasnt.

Re: Just like with Ferguson, the truth always slowly trickles out...

I guess I don't get why anybody would run away from a police officer unless you have something illegal on you or just did something illegal.

If I saw a police officer and made eye contact I'd just smile and nod and keep about my business. Last thing I would do is run. Or if they did arrest me, I wouldn't resist.
