Hey, it's the only thing I've got on him. :) His wheels and tires are wider, his car makes more power and his paint isn't orange peeled. :(

I guess that'll work if you store it instead of doing Winter tires.

I do want a photoshoot in the Spring. At some point the car will be done and get some shots with my splitter & wing on.

You normally have a serious look, Dave. Kracka is just giving you some shit.

So at lunch just now I finally figured, time to give the track tune a test, temps weren't cold at all so I figured it should be ok...

Lots O knock according to my Knock CEL, fast flashing too, I let off pretty quick :(

I need to stop by DB tonight to check a possible oil leak and get the clutch bleed again too so I will talk it over with Shane. I am not sure how scared I am supposed to be of the knock I am seeing.

Ps...this car is damn near impossible to keep in boost between shifts, maybe I am doing it wrong, but i would love some NLTS!

Only time I ever see the fast light is off the rev limiter. That would be enough right there to get me to switch back to the other tune and not use it again until it can get some Shane attention.

I've seen the fast flashing on the DD tune too though. Mostly when its very very cold though.

So yea, no idea.

Could just be the pistons flopping around if the car isn't up to temp. I get the same thing.

I saw my share of KnockCEL when I was at the track last time. In my case I know what it is...fueling.

Yea mine isn't fueling for sure, but not having boost error correction on could be the culprit, perhaps boost spiking and running lean I guess?

What are you doing boosting your car when its not up to temp? That's a no-no man!

You have a MAF, more boost = more airflow = higher MAF voltage = more fuel :)

No way, i wait for the temp gauge to be at least 1/4 full before I boost, not doing that.

I mean just the ambient temp is very cold.

I know I have a MAF, but it seems to be knocking a fair amount...the DD tune during the day seems solid though. I was simply implying that maybe the error correction being turned off has something to do with it. I am going to be at DB later so i will talk it over with the master. Maybe we can log it too.

Did Shane mention where your IDCs were at with the 1400's? I'd assume there's a fair bit of headroom remaining. I'm just curious if the 1300's would be enough for an E98 tune on a Black.

I wait until my car is at full temp, which is half-way on that temp gauge.

Not sure about the IDC's, I know we had enough fuel though, as in the injectors weren't a concern, so I would think that's a maybe on the 1400's.

I believe Shane before said that 1400's were good for 540whp on his dyno, roughly.

Same. Put-put-put with slow, gentle, shifts until my car is at full operating temp. This gives my drivetrain and transmission a chance to warm up too (this is why letting the engine sit and idle then beating on it directly from the garage is a bad idea).

I just checked your log from the dyno day, ~82% IDC at 7500rpm and ~87% IDC at 8886rpm. 2 counts of knock @ 2900rpm on one pull, i.e. nothing.
