Is anyone planning on attending the Shootout? I am taking summer classes which is resulting in my summer being a lot more open so I am definitely going to try to make it out to Wakeman & Norwalk.

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

I'm buying a motorhome just before the shootout and staying at the track with some buddies.

If we go, we'll probably camp.

CVD 03-03-2006 04:48 AM

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

Ah yes, the Camps. Thats not a bad idea. Especially for the Colt.

TheBlizzard 03-03-2006 04:57 AM

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

If I go I will camp as well. Fuck those hotels, there are so many rules now it makes it stupid and a waste of money. But there are rules now because people abuse them over the years.

tim 03-03-2006 02:19 PM

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

Can anybody post up the names and maybe phone numbers of close hotels and camping areas? I have never been there and dont really know what is in the area.

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

we usually stay in sandusky almost across the street from cedar point. The hotel is a pretty good price. The cops dont bother us because we're not where all the crazy dsm maddness goes on, oh and the biggest TGI Fridays is right across the street :)

If I go I'll be going with the LSE guys, will have to check on seeing about using my Mothers RV.

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

Is anyone trying to gather a group of dsms up to go down all together? If not, i'll probably be starting one!

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

I'm wouldn't mind heading out this year again if Jana is up for it.

JET 05-04-2006 03:46 PM

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

We usually do caravan down there. I will probably be trailoring down there.

AJ 05-04-2006 04:02 PM

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

If I go I don't quite know if I will be driving a 3S down or driving a spare tow rig down.

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

I'm shopping for a motor home for the cruise out there.

Matt D. 05-04-2006 05:17 PM

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

I've never been to the shootout but really want to go this year, DSM or not.

TheBlizzard 05-04-2006 05:21 PM

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

I am most likely going. If I don't ride out with JET in the motorhome I will drive the GTP out there. I will be staying at the track for sure this year.

The hotels down there are stupid now because of all the rules regarding drinking are too strict.

I would gladly camp at the track.

A few friends(2-possibly?) and I need a ride. The stupid Evo will not be making it.

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

hmmm, that makes it kinda packed in the corolla, but so far it is me and one more in there so if you really want to go i have an open back seat, the only problem was we were gonna probably stay in the car.

We are going.

Goat Blower 08-01-2006 03:52 PM

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

I'm planning on it, but as of now, still need a motorhome, car trailer, fuel pumps, extra injectors wired and an exhaust fabbed up before I can go. Time is getting tight as with every year.

CVD 08-01-2006 05:10 PM

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

I would have to skip work and hitch a ride, which is doable if it sounds like its going to be a worthwhile weekend.

1QUICK4 08-01-2006 06:06 PM

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

I was going to go but I got free tickets and garage/pit passes for the Brickyard race this weekend so I have no spare vacation time.

Next year I will be there in the DSM for sure!

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

I am with 1quick4, not this year maybe with the DSM next year.

Re: 14th Annual Buschur DSM Shootout

Well it may be only Wendesday...Aug. 9....

LSE arrived in Cleveland, Ohio for the Shoot Out.
Today is a day of rest after driving all night (Thanks Josh and Kevin),then party!
Okay...Yes we know that Buscher Racing is on Saturday and Norwalk is on Sunday....
Then it's off to enjoy Cedar Point on Monday.

We may be in Cleveland but it's only 20 miles from Buscher.
While we are here we have a DSM to build and hope to have it at the Shoot Out and then party and enjoy family time building a deck!

We will be back to Minnesota for the MItsu Cookout, and we'll have pic's to show of our time in Cleveland!
