The 3/S is a better car than most people give it credit for. Swanny takes shit for having a 3/S and has to hear the 3/S bashing more than most and I'm sure it wears him down a bit. He found a funny qoute that sums up just about every Supra and used it. I'm not taking offense to it and no one else should. The Supra and the 3/S when put next to each other are really interesting. They, for the most part, accomplish the same things. But each goes about it totally differently to get to the same place. The other thing is that hardly anyone seems to be able to like both. I think every one should just relax.

Supra vs. 3/S. Interesting debate. Both are great cars in their own regard, its totally a matter of preference. Both can handle large amounts of power realatively easily and both are from aprox. the same era. My personal preference goes towards the 3/S since I like their styling and the much cheaper price. Plus I think they handle better too (IMO of course). This is a debate similar to the Camaro vs. Mustang one....both good in certain fields and not in others.

Have any 3/S's even gotten close to a under a mid 10 sec run? If you look realistically at all aspects of the car, the Supra is wayyyy better hands down in every performance aspect. There is no arguement.

I never said that the Supra wasn't capable of being fast. I said I find it boring. I would rather have a Stealth. As for modding a 3/S, most owners are fucking retarded. That's is why the platform has taken so long to get going. Actually the 3/S was in the 10's before the DSM. I know of two GTOs that are in the 9's and are track cars. Tell you what Cher, buy a white Supra and have fun. I'll buy my Stealth and we will all be happy.

Currently the fastest us 3s 1/4 mile is 10.44@138. This is on a setup that is a ROAD RACE CAR and was at low boost (less than 30).
How many of these 9 second supras are using stock transmissions and factory suspension setups?
Granted the supras are fast, but once my car is back on the road I will race ANY local supra, dig or roll, it shouldn't matter.
But that would be bench racing, and we can't do that.
So, the 3/s is the worst piece of shit ever created, all hail the almighty supra.
And yes, my sig was from a mnsc member, I personally do like the supra's, until all the supra cock hangers get involved, then I realize why I only like the cars, not the fans.
People its just a car. Anything can be made to haul ass, its just that the aftermarket for the supra is EXTREMELY supportive.
And for the people that crack on me for my car sitting, simply fuck you.
If you only knew the shit and hell I went through to keep that shittastic qpr running, the personal sacrifice I went through, you'd shut your traps.
To those just joking, I know you are, but I wanted to set the record straight.
My car was pulled apart for money. I needed to part it in order to eat. I know that is hard for all the people on here to realize that QPR wasn't a "cash cow". But the fact remains that QPR ended up destroying many lives, in many forms. It wasnt' pulled apart because im some fucking dipshit that did something stupid and wrong and broke something...that was the swanny of old ;).

I agree ^^ watching other people doesnt convince us or prove anything to us, so until you own one Cher and show us all up you shouldn't put them on that pedistal.

Any car can be made fast with enough money, supras in my opinion are WAY over priced and you could build a really fast 3S for the base price of a supra.... Not to mention their interiors are hideous ;)

So sure they can make huge gobs of power but they are just too plain on the outside and IMO really ugly on the inside. DSM Interior > supra haha

Daves supra here runs a stock NA longblock w/ HKS cams, stock suspension w/ Eibach lowering springs, and a powerglide trans, and has clicked off mulitple 9.40's, so i guess that answer thats question for you all.

3/S isn't even in the same league.

Thats nuts, good job :). I don't have an automatic transmission I can put in my virtually hybrid car (unless they came factory with powerglide transmission, maybe I missed that option).
The 3/S isn't in the same league. Our motors are transversely mounted, our transmissions are stock, our cars are heavy, and our resale suck compared to supra's. Plus we dont' have race prepped transmissions we can drop in properly setup powerplants (rwd) to go drag racing with. We have these shitty awd cars that hook-up decent in all conditions.
The battle I like to see is supra's vs. viper's. I think the viper has the supra hands down when it comes to most subjects.

I wouldn't be worried about 3rd. It's how good a zoom you're going to need on the camera to see the giant 5" can. With my car being more than 1000lbs lighter than yours, I'd do the math. 5" ricer can = 5x zoom. ;) I'm asian and naturally good at that subject.

I perfer my 4" pipe I am using as an exhaust tip.
Why advertise more than what you have? 4" from the engine back is what im running.
I am sure it is 1000lbs lighter. Power to weight is a good thing to have. I'll just have to make more power to make up for my weight in my full street car. :eek: :rolleyes: :D
