Wanted : Weekly Column Writer
 

I'm looking for someone interested in writing a colum for DSMStyle.com. Something we'd put up on the front page and have on the forums for discussion.

I'd want someone who can go over our own site events, thread drama, and DSM news AS WELL AS current political, sports, and other current events they'd want to speak on.


I'd want someone who can take (what sometimes can be heavy) critisim and be able to put their words on paper cleanly and correctly.

Someone who can be on-time with reports on a weekly or bi-weekly basis depending on the schedule we work out.

So if your interested I'd like you to follow the following instructions:

Send an e-mail with a short write up on subject of your choice to dsmstyle@dsmstyle.com. Place "Style Report" in the subject line.

I am open to have more then one person writing.

No, but you need to be able to use spell and grammer check before submitting. ;)

Pretty much. Just a new thing I'd like to try to keep some rational thought this winter. Anywhere from 1-3 writers will be used if we have anyone willing to do it.

I was thinking of making a running thread something like this. The only problem is that I have to be in the mood to type stuff up. I could help out or add to whatever is being typed.

I was thinking more like car humor. Car humor with a little bit of shit talking on the side. I'd really like to do a comic strip, but can't draw.

Looking more on the side of current events, political items, world news for the idea, but it's not like I can't add in a comic colum as well.

We got one write up submitted tonight. I was looking for something simple and short to see how people would put things in their own words. What I got was exactly what I'd want to put up as a finished project! THANK YOU! GREAT READ!

Looking forward to others who are interested as well. Maybe get some in the next few days and I will spend more itme getting back to everyone interested over the weekend.

Narrow it down a little better for me. I'd be down to write for ya, but your subject is a bit to broad for me, and I'm not so good with current events, but eventually I'm going to major in Journalism.. So lay it out a little better for me because I would love to help you out!

Write about anything you want and send it to me. I'm getting an idea on how people put things in their own words. The subjects are going to be up to you? I can seriously be about anything.

Why don't you write something up about what it's like being a girl who's into cars? If you want any input from me, just let me know. I just don't have time to write something up.

I believe we are just looking for samples (to answer Jake), to then choose who we will have as our writer(s). Once we have that, then they will be posted up. At least that what I think Allan has in mind.

Anyone else come up with anything short or long let me know. I am going to keep these archived on the site when a new one goes up and it would be nice to get a new one up every week or 3. ;)

My girlfriend is some crazy english chick. She was found some how as the top writer in her school. I'll see what she has to say about it. I could almost give her topics to write about along with information and she could put it all into real nice, clean, appropriate wording? Just a thought.
