October 22nd Fun Day at Rockfalls~
 

Well me and some friends from Winona are getting a big group together to go to the track on the 22nd (Last track day of the year @ RF). My 21st b-day is on the 7th of Oct and my buddy's 23rd b-day is on the 18th so after the race we are going to have a kegger at our garage. Just having a little get together, bond fire and BS a little. If anyone is interested feel free to come down/stop by. Probably be $2-3 a cup.

There is plenty of room for parking and for people to set up a tent if needed.

Alright, I will definately be there. Hopefully I will have the fuel issue fixed so I can crank up the boost and make some real power. My 6k RPM miss is fixed (stutterbox issues) so I should be well into the 11's even with the same power.

Well, I got the day off of work. I will try to get the motor in and broken in before the 22nd, and if not I will just bring the Galant. Hopefully I get that 14 I want now that I have the knock figured out(woo hoo 14's...) I will also be going with a buddy from work with an SRT-4.

Let's bring this thread back to life. Is anyone going on the 22nd? I went last Saturday and had a great time. I almost need to retest all over again though. I'd really like to go and attempt to break into the 11's. At this moment i plan to go and I have the rest of the week to think about it. Fun Days at the end of the season kind of sucks. So many fricking people that you will probably only get 2 time trials. That's how it was 2 years ago. Not only that, there were so many break downs and oil downs from the muscle cars and the good air that it sucked as well.

I'll be there. I will be pulling the tranny in my car during the week and loc-titing some more bolts :D I am also going to fix the rear camber so I can launch better and hopefully fix the fuel issue so I can crank the boost up more.

Some friends and I are heading down to Cedar Falls. Racing starts at 11, we are leaving around 6am. Got some new toys that should help with both of the numbers listed below ;)

JET- If you go on Saturday I think I will pretty much have to come to RF. I just have to troubleshoot a squeak when i turn my steering. Something must have loosened up on Saturday. I can't quite locate it myself. I gotta get a buddy over and turn the wheels while i get under it. If i can get it, I should be there.

I plan on getting kicked out. I've got the cage, but I cut the sidebar out, so I'm sure they'll chase me down for that. It looks legal with the doors closed though. Got rid of about 50 pounds this week, I'm expecting at least .05 seconds off my best time. :rolleyes:

My brother and I are tenatively going providing the weather outlook is good. Everyone will probably get only 2 time trials in which sucks for me because I only have the data from last Saturdays 19psi runs. I almost have to zero the fuel/timing sliders and start over when going to 25psi just to be conservative. I don't care about winning anything, i just want 11.99. I just don't know if i can gather enough data in the 2 runs and first round of elims.

If you are pretty sure you're going, list what you drive so I'd know who to look for since I've never met any of you.

I'd be in a Silver '99 GSX with Racing Hart c5's

I might go watch. I have nothing else better to do in the morning. I wanna run my car, but it'll be another year before I fix all the problems. I'll probably bring a Video Camera along if I feel like it. How many do you guys have so far? I'm like 50/50 on going....

You can ride with someone if you don't want to drive. I think my co-pilot seat is empty. You will probably get to experience a few good pulls on the way over :D

Well the forecast says rain for much of tommorow. My brother and i have decided not to even bother. For him, he's gotta load the car on the trailer and all so he doesn't wanna bother if it isn't gonna pay off. If it rains, it takes the track so dam long to dry in this colder weather. Rain date is Sunday and that forecast doesn't look any better. Jennifer, the track director emailed me back and said if the fun day doesn't happen this weekend, the season ends on that note. Looks like 11's will have to wait till next season.

It was suppose to rain tomorrow, then it wasnt. Now it's going to rain again...I guess we'll just have to wait and see if it does rain of not...haha.
Jet- is that seat still open? I could just leave my car at champs or somewhere if it is. PM me if it is and you're still planning to go....I wont be home till later tonight.

At this time of the year it would have to almost not rain period the entire day. It would take a long time to dry even with the brusher they use to clean the track surface. If it were like 80+* out, it could rain and be dry in no time. We'll have to see though. If it looks as though it will piss even a little from the sky, i'm out. At a certain point of the day, you don't get your money back.

I've never raced on a real cold day. Obviously our engines run better in the cold but what about the traction? I would think that you woudn't get as good of traction due to the tires being stiffer.

I'm getting up at 5:30 to check. If it's raining or even close here, I'm out. If it looks alright, I'm going down to load up the car and head over. Weather.com showed no rain until tomorrow night.

Well, I won't be making it. I wasn't able to get my car in the shop. It should be done tomorrow afternoon though. A day late and a dollar short... I am actually hoping it rains so I can go Sun. :D I will be at CF on the 29th if anyone else wants to go.
