Do we want to try for a Dyno Event this fall yet?

So do we try and get this event lined up yet at some point or try next season? This would have been the 3rd year for it.

Year 1 - Long drawn out day. Pretty fuck'n fun though with guys from MN, IA, and WI hittin the dyno.

Year 2 - Year 1 divided in half.

Year 3 - So far, nada.

I don't care either way. I don't event have the 1.8 to toss up there for fun anymore. I would like some actual motivation to get it going again though if people want it, let me know.

There are a lot of us with running cars now that would probably go to a dyno day. I know I would be game!

Part of me is interested (if the car is working), but the other part is too lazy to want to do the front wheel conversion. I assume it would be at elite, right?

Re: Do we want to try for a Dyno Event this fall yet?

If it was at RS I'd consider, but converting to FWD is too much of a pain like ^^^^ said. (and I'm not forking up $200 just for one or two pulls)

Re: Do we want to try for a Dyno Event this fall yet?

It's $200 for 2 pulls???

AJ 09-06-2005 09:49 PM

Re: Do we want to try for a Dyno Event this fall yet?

I wouldn't have it anywhere but Elite.

And for the moron stating it's $200 for 2 or 3 pulls. Dee Dee Dee!

It's $50 for 2 pulls and an optional 3rd for $25 is what we where going to do last time.

K, so you're going to put in and buy a VCE for me for free then, moron?

Helps to think a little before you respond, instead of assume that I already have a VCE and will put it in myself, even though I already stated it's too much of a pain to do it myself for only two pulls. durrrrr

Your building a 10 second DSM and putting in a welded VC is too much of a pain?

I could be ready for it in a few weeks. If pulling a VC is to mutch work for you then dont bother coming. Ive seen people do it in Elites parking lot in a 1/2 hr before.

Re: Do we want to try for a Dyno Event this fall yet?

Shane, do you or anyone else have welded vc's to borrow for the event? I definitly am interrested. My car is all setup for my big mutt, but $$$ for rebuild got thrown at my new house. Someone was saying earlier this year that no one has a decent setup on a 16g dyno'd anymore. Well, I wanna see what my wee little 16g can put down!

Let's do this!

I laid down 320whp at last years event, which if I recall beat the former record there by only a few hp.

If I can ever get my parts back to finish my motor, I will be down for the event, still with the 16G.

Do us a favor and just sell the DSM.

Pump gas? I know Mo made something like 339whp on his 16G back in 2001 on race gas.

Yea, I heard about that, was that on pump gas? You have an evo3 16g, right?

I just have a small 16g, and have made some good pulls against an evo or three around here, I want to see what it will put down on 92 octane.

Not one place in there did you suggest paying someone to swap a VC for you. Only that you you where leading on the point of $200 for 2 ro 3 pulls.

If you can't put the shit on the big screen in front of you correctly, don't ask johnny retard to understand it correctly. Some of us fuck'n Iowa folk would rather go cow tipping than try and figure out what the fuck your trying to lay down.

I think we found a new "Dee Dee Dee" award winner. What a dick. I wonder if this is the same guy that I stopped to see if he needed help when his battery or alternator was going bad on Hwy 55. Real good idea to tell the site owner that he's a moron (even though he is, only some of us can actually say it to him ;) ).

Yeah, nice 10 second DSM pal!! My CRX looked better than that piece of shit.

Come on kids, calm down and GET BACK ON TOPIC. Dumb idea to insult the site owner..

I could possibly get a couple friends out there if we do it in october sometime. Swapping VC's wont sound too hot with RS motors a couple blocks from home. I will try though!

Whew! I knew it wasn't that much $$$. I don't know were the $200 figure ever came from. Engine dyno sessions might cost that much but not wheel dyno sessions. Wish i didn't live so dam far away or i'd dyno mine.

The $200 figure came from Sparky, his new title fits him well. Swaping a VC is easy guys. Jack up the right front, pull off the tire, about 10 bolts then pop the old one off and the new one on and button it back up. Nash has done it many times in the Elite parking lot.

Chill out Josh.

Anyways, would this be a DSM only dyno day? My former roommate may be interested in dynoing his Cavalier(yes I know it's a Cavalier) since he did a 3400 swap into it.

alpine has a big 16g.

DSM16second-they have vc's they borrow out for people to use and return. Have you made 1 helpful post on here?

I'd be up for it. The weekend of the 1st/2nd or 15th/16th in October would work best for me. Personally if we do this we should have it on a Saturday so those of us that work 3rd shift arent tired as hell Sunday night. Especially if you have to come from 2.5hrs away! :)

Getting back on topic? Coming from you? LOL

I should be insulted. I run a DSM site, I have no DSM. ;)

If people don't want to convert to FWD from AWD then they can schedule a day with RS if they wish. I won't bring business there while Elite is still around.

Re: Do we want to try for a Dyno Event this fall yet?

Actually, I Have an EVOIII 16g. The pulls last year were on 100 unleaded and I was having some boost creep issues. I have taken care of that problem, added DSMLink and a built motor, so hopefully I should be high 300's on higher octane race fuel.
