So I was hangin' at Taco Bell yesterday...(Skyline sighting)

Quick Cliff notes: Was eating at Taco Bell in Woodbury, saw R33 GT-R Skyline.

So yesterday I came home from class at Inver just famished right? My buddy Jon rolled over in his Cobra, and I decided I wanted to take my GSX out and get a car wash. But before I went for the wash, I asked Jon if he was hungry. He said, " Oh Hell yes," and we were off. I figured Taco Bell would be good, so we went there (here in Woodbury). So I get my Number 3 with a Pepsi, and roll over to the parking lot to wait for Jon to get out of the drive through. Finally he rolls up, and we start eating.

Suddenely what looks like something dropped out of the corner of my eye rolls in, and it looks pretty clean. I wasn't paying too close attention until I noticed the guy got out of the "wrong" side of the car. I asked Jon, I'm like, "Dude did he just get out of the passenger side?"

So, I went to investigate, it looked like the driver went into Ultimate Electronics. I roll over, and sure enough, its an R33, Silverish. It looked awesome!

Just curious as to if anyone knows who's car it is?

Anyways that was my story, thanks for reading.

I figured I'd probably get burned a lil' posting this up....Aw well.

I just thought it was pretty cool to see one in Woodbury, especially on the road.

Are you kidding Matt! They get all freaked out over civics and VW's. lol.

Skylines are cool cars though. I haven't seen one in a drivable atmosphere. Only at a couple car shows.

Thats pretty sick. I have never seen a Skyline on the road. Only RHD stuff I have seen was some JDM Integra.

I must have seen the same one at Uni last night. It was silver and a kid was driving it. Pretty sweet car.

I'd like to know how he got ahold of it. I'm betting the majority in the US aren't 100% legal since the price is ridiculous and from what I've heard Motorex isn't doing so good.

There is a charcole R32 in Maple Grove. I think the guy works at a hardware store (and the rumor was his dad owns it). I was at Culvers for an MNSC meet and it was parked in front of the store. I pointed it out to some of the members and went inside the hardware store to buy some parts (errr hardware). I didn't put two and two together until I walked outside but the guy at the cash register mentioned to one of the other employees that he forgot it was Wednesday and he should have parked in back (at the moment the skyline was surrounded by people looking at it). I want to ask him about it next time I see him.

Josh- I thought you didn't like skylines? I was at Marthon (on UNI) Friday night and I saw a Silver one. It was sweet, but the kid driving it was a cocky little shit head. Regular blow job fest...

Haha! You should have seen it. It was retarded how much attention he got. So yah. They might as well have all been sucking his dick right there in the Marathon parking lot.

He like refused to race anyone. My friend has a stock SRT4 and he wouldn't race it. But then he would like dip out fast. It was really stupid. Whats the point of spending that much on THAT car, if you wont even race it or give it any love?

I know one was for sale on ebay in mn before. It was 13,000 and it never got any bids. I am not sure what the color was though. I am pretty sure it still needed to be licensed also.

What's the point of racing some stock SRT 4?

Because tickets cost money, and proving your 'point' to a bunch of noobs gets old???
In all seriousness, the more money into the car, the less likely someone will race it for 'fun' on the street.

Re: So I was hangin' at Taco Bell yesterday...(Skyline sighting)

He also could have been afraid of losing. A stock skyline with the average driver runs a high 13. I'd be surprised if the car has many mods since parts and general tunning support are almost as hard to get as the car itself.

Combine this with all the other reasons he may not have raced and you probably end up with a 1 in 20 chance the guy would race.

Stock skyline is a 13.1 and if he was smart, he'd know he would beat the SRT, so why refuse what you know you can beat? Why refuse anything? If someone wants to talk shit, show 'em whats up. Anyways, sorry Josh, I meant the other Josh, haha.

I'm pretty sure his was stock.

Have you ever seen a stock skyline run the quater mile in person? I said average driver, not a "good driver".

Like NyteRydr said before, tickets, tickets, and lets not forget that even if you win, a lot of people will just say, "I raced him and beat him" or "He wouldn't even race me!" or "I didn't turn my boost to high boost, it was on low!!" somethin stupid along those lines.

Jana- It's not that bad. And its not like the couldn't go to RF or somewhere. You won't always get fucked. Besides, the crew that I hang with usually likes to race. Thats why we go there. Why would he roll with a crew who likes to race, knowing the risk they take, if he didn't want to race? Seems kind of lame to me.

Christopher- I was stating facts. To a Skylines potential it runs a 13.1 I didn't say anything about a driver. But you are right, the driver matters.

And yah, I know people talk a lot of shit. My friend used to do it all the time. But who cares?? Deep down whatever little fucker who was talkin shit knows he got his ass beat. In my opinion that satisfies the hell outta me!

I don't really roll with a lot of DSM's. Actually there is online one DSM that rolls with us, but he's usually not down there. My friends have all different kinds of cars, SRT's, Evos, STi's, Hondas, LeBarons [it was his winter car, then he blew the tranny on his car, so he put a leaf blower on his Lebaron and called it good.. don't ask], M3's, etc.. you name it, we probably drive it.

It's not that bad to street race??? I can tell you are young, and not very wise yet. It would be different if you had mentioned going to race at RF, but you were referring to racing on the street...or at least that's how I read it. Street racing is not a smart thing to do, as a couple others already said in this thread. I'm not even going to get into it because I'm so against it.

Haha no, I'm not in Tekone. I know people in Tekone but I'm not a part of it. And I didn't say it was for getting head. I said he may as well have been getting head. Anyways, he has a bunch of cars, I don't see why he needs them all. He also has a orange supercharged drop-top cobra. WTF?

He won't race the Cobra either. I tried atleast.
BTW, what's with all the high school kids down there now? It was never like that. They actually think that pulling out grill inserts and putting mesh in place of it is a mod.
I say it's time to take some of that money away from them:)
